When Ish and Ice came on initially, I didn't think they were gonna be on full time. I just thought it was something that Joe would do to get him through until he found some new co hosts after Rory and Mal. Joe used to call Ish and Ice frequently on the old pod, but I don't think either one of them were prepared for their entire life to be out on front street the way it is now. We joke on Mal, but Mal and Rory were able to keep a relatively low profile on the pod. This stuff going on with these two is just messy right now. I think Ish (and hopefully Flip) will be gone by the end of the year.
I think they turned on Ish with the white girl. Then dude had child support issues and his ex brought it to the internet.
and Ice started out as a troll on Twitter, so he's been getting his well deserved karma.
Both aren't good at handling the internet. When Mal had the old tweets dug up, he just had everything deleted and ignored it

Marc wanted more exposure to younger black people with an emphasis on black men.... the jbp provides that and Joe was willing to pay Marc a decent amount to be there

So the relationship is mutually beneficial so Joe didn't have to break the bank.

I think those "bonuses," definitely sweetened the pot.
So for example, instead of Marc getting say $30K - $40K/ month (the co-host alleged pay) he may have taken $10K - $20K with the potential for a $10K bonus. (A fair exchange in my opinion)
And now Marc's impressions on his other platforms are increasing = $$$
And the same for Joe, those Patreon numbers must be ama$$$$ing!

Iirc, Flip asked Joe if he wanted to address the rumor that he only wanted to pay them (Rory and Mal) $30K/month and they thought they deserved a bigger piece of the whole pie.
And then you know how Flip talks,
