How did Math fail? He mentioned he only had contacts for Style's manager and he didn't hear back after two weeks. He reached out to Jada and heard nothing. The only question I have is did he directly say what it was about. Based on Math's tone, it sounds like he may have and someone thought they didn't need to address it.

That was Jhoods version of the events and the biggest part about the 60k was rebutted by Mecca in the Loxs defense.they mentioned how 20k would not have been enough for the artists or producers at that time and stated that was likely were the 60k went. Even with the 60k, they should have explained where it went. Finding out through a third party does come off as fucked up especially if it was meant for your family who lost their home. Furthermore, if it is completely false why not just say you or anyone representing dblock never received 60k. Why go into other expenses that were made on Jhoods behalf? Doing that makes it come off like Jhoods version has some truth to it.

The only thing Styles said that I don't think Jhood mentioned was helping with his family and the lawsuit, but that is assuming it is the truth. It comes online Styles didn't really watch the interview.

Jhood said throughout the interview that he was talking from the perspective of how he thought things went then and acknowledged he didn't understand certain things in the business at that time.

I agree with Math. If you want to tell your version do so, but don't blame the interviewer.

Math is in the right completely.

But I ALSO completely understand Styles reaction

Especially the timing of the interviews coincidence or not.

I wish this didn't happen especially for NY

But just something didn't sit right in real time watching those clips released.

But it's IMPORTANT especially since Hood was pressed SPECIFICALLY on what he did after he allegedly found out about that 60k...

He never mentioned they helped or the lawsuit like you said.

The other thing that stood out to me was who DBLOCK really was. JHood said Sheek Louch was the head/owner of DBLOCK. If that is true, the other members of the Lox wouldn't necessarily know about Jhoods deal or the 60k to really speak on it.

As far as being a founder of DBLOCK, that gets tricky, but I think Jhood really was just saying he was one if the first artist and was there from the early days of DBLOCK.

On Math's part, it wasn't clear as to which interview happened first. I'm assuming it was the Styles interview, but he mentioned how Mecca jumped ahead past certain things and that is why questions around DBLOCK or Jhood were missed. If the Jhood interview happened first, Math does need to take more responsibility.

Just to be honest...

I was skeptical of Everything J Hood was saying

could be my bias

I REMEMBER that WHOLE thing very well

And Shy body language to me was revealing also

and J Hood whole story was just OFF to me

a whole lot of very childish rationalization and excuses for his own actions...

and any push back?

THEN he would try to take responsibility in a very passive aggressive way.

I just didn't buy what he was selling

I REMEMBER the chain drag and videos and diss songs.

I feel like the 60 K thing is EASY to prove.

I can understand Styles not calling nobody but responding PUBLICLY to an accusation like that

I don't know any of these people to speak on their character, but most of us are going to say the same about ourselves. It's certain things most of us will take to our graves and never admit to.

Honestly, I don't know if it was for Styles to speak on and Jhood made it clear he never had an issue with Styles and Jada especially about the 60k. To me, Styles honor isn't in question.

If you ask Puff, he has never taken advantage of an artist and definitely never stole from them. Some would argue that Puff never outright stolen from artist, but he knowingly allowed them to sign contracts that were not in the (relatively speaking) best interests of the artist and don't consider him a man of high character. Puff is likely to view his character in very high regard and doesn't agree with peoples view of his character.

Shyheim's body language only signals discomfort or shock like everyone else in the room. Unless he was around during that time ( I don't believe he was) he knows as much as the general public or maybe industry insiders which may not be much.i think he said as much.

But there are literally thousands of threads on here filled with back and forth based entirely on that.

I didn't initially agree with you, but you are getting a little bias now lol.

The Puff thing is pretty much the same issue as Sheek as far as questioning of character. At its core, Puff's character has been called into question over his business practices just like Sheek Louch. As far as Puff is concerned he has never stolen a thing from his artist.he simply abided by the terms both parties agreed on, so no one should question his character.on behalf of Sheek, Styles is saying no money was stolen by Sheek and no one should question their integrity.like it was hinted at Sheek could have used the funds on Jhood and doesn't feel like he did anything wrong.both are being accused of hurting their artists financially.

I get standing up for your man, but if you don't have real knowledge of the situation you're speaking on the man you believe your man to be and not necessarily the truth of the matter. While I don't believe my friends are capable of certain acts and I'll give support, sometimes you find out your friends aren't who you thought they were. Unless he knows for a fact the 60k wasn't stolen, he shouldn’t have spoken on that. That being said maybe he was more involved in the decisions of D-Block than Jhood knows and is speaking with first hand knowledge of the business practices.

You can be a rapper and everyone's friend or you can be an objective journalist, but you'll have a hard time being both. Someone is always going to question your character especially if it's not something said in their favor.

Joe Budden tries not to fuck up his relationships too much, but clearly has a hard time holding his tongue. If they were being real about adding a new member, adding Queens Flip to the pod maybe a good fit to get more interesting takes that Joe will not do himself. Prior to his arrest, I thought they were going to use Tsu Surf as a backup host.

I may be bias but I'm honest.

The reason I don't want to go into Puff situation here is because it's a deeper discussion about a historicallycorrupt music system, black artists treatment of each other, etc. it's been beaten to death and I don't feel is part of the specific discussion me and @dik cashmere were having.

Again it's all conjecture...

I just don't believe Hoid fully and even his explanation 20 years later sounds childish.

And no matter what I don't like these platforms always engaging in this back and forth. Many are based SOLELY on rehashing long deep beefs for views.
