If I recall correctly, AK had been on Rory's neck pretty aggressively leading up to having someone that card off at his door. Allegedly Rory was engaged at the time, but was entertaining a side chick. Also allegedly, said side provided his address. And after the card incident and AKs twitch/ irl shenanigans Rory's fiancé left him.....

I don't understand how he thinks an issue with the way the accounting is being ran is a "creative" difference. I like how he tryna make it seem like Mal wasn't gonna take a salary just because it's a salary when really it's because Joe wasn't forthright with the money situation.

But at least he is upfront and fairly consistent and honest about how he thinks
Doesn't make him right or excuse his bullsh*t
Joe looks at people like Mal as civilians
Or as veteran pro athletes look at fans or rookies
And Mal never gonna win in the court of public opinion because of how he didn't do his job and review the contracts beforehand.
You see how the public kills folk about that kinda stuff (which is based more on jealousy and envy not about true understanding of contractual agreements)
Joe talking about their lack of work ethic, personal responsibility and business savvy is going to resonate with his target audience.
