Joe Budden podcast done? No Rory or Mal for 2nd straight episode

Click bait titles on the vids / tweets. Joe told Joell that an album full of disses towards him and Royce can s*ck his meat. He never invited Joell to his meat.

But Joe was wrong AF for that snooty ass "I'm bigger than" comment. Mfkr said the quiet part out loud and he shouldn’t have......

Also this is mad depressing to see. And I'm not even a big SH fan.

Joe knows damn well he is the last mfkr that should be using "I'm better than you" comments

I must be missing something. If Joe claims to be retired from rap and allegedly Royce said he wouldn't do anything without Joe, exactly what is the issue. Don't know if it happened or not but I don't even think a heads up is warranted if two members previously stated they aren't interested. It doesn't sound like a heads up was not given though.

Even if the issue is them using the Slaughterhouse name to eat, why not just come to a beneficial relationship for everyone or just allow them to use the name without giving anything for it. Again, Joe claims he isn't rapping anymore so why would you care about monetization of the group name or what contracts are signed. For better or worse with a contract, I'd just make it clear that I'm not associated with the group to ensure I don't run into other legal issues in the future.

Joe claims he was willing to rap again, but he had questions about the fine print of the deal.

Joell came to them with the advance money and nothing else.....

Joe's questions never got answered and next thing he and Royce knows there's this new "album."....and the lead single is a subtle diss to Royce and Joe..... THAT is wild.

Also, I'm sorry, fuck paying for Patreon.

I mean y'all talk shit about everyday topics, and now want me to pay for that shit, and when there's a variety of other podcasts to listen to, you think I'll pay? FOHWTBS.

Rory and Mal launched their Patreon I guess yesterday. If you have to force and do corny shit to justify a Patreon, maybe don't do it. If I already get 2 pods a week for free, what the fuck else are you adding via Patreon???

Even Joe and his Patreon has never peaked my interest at all. I'm good with the regular Pod, and just my opinion, they are stretching themselves thin. 2 episodes a week plus a Patreon episode is too much IMO.

I like how Dave Chappelle had his shit behind a paywall when he launched his Pod. That I can understand paying for.

I hear you

But I can't comment since I don't think I have ever heard/seen the Patreon content to say its worth it or not.

Now that I think on it? Maybe I have seen it leaked on YouTube or reddit ?

If it's unedited, released early or bonus behind the scenes stuff?

I guess if you a FAN like that then it's fine.

It really depends on podcast like you said.

Vlad has one on YouTube and it's nothing that you can't get for free it's all just early release and unedited

I could understand OTHER social media folk wanting that access to fuel their OWN podcasts and channels.

If our podcast had one I think it would be more mini episodes that are instant reactions and on one specific topic only etc.

Well hold on that is entirely a different version that seems very reasonable on Joe part.

I agree with the girl in the background.

I'll forever respect Rory for the way he handles himself. Being able to take personal biases out of a situation and speak objectively about difficult topics is a rare trait today and Rory a master at it. Mal still childish as usual but Rory the one and the reason i still check in on this pod.

Yes, Demaris trying to explain it to Mal is the same conversation Joe was trying to have with Joell. You can't really teach people the business side if they don't want to get it. Go do your thing from scratch. No one is stopping them from doing that, and they've done that before, but there is value in the name and the brand.... at a minimum, you have to run them their cut. See, how they feel doing 100% of the work and only being entitled to 50% of the profit. IYKYK

Facts

that improvement is very very impressive

And to STILL be relatively low key on social media

they basically go to work twice a week and be OUT

they REALLY don't engage (that I have SEEN)

and really don't NEED to

which is interesting

because we ALL said Rory and Mal NEEDED to do MUCH MORE of that (especially Joe)

But with Ish and Ice I think its different

I don't really need or want anymore from them outside the pod
its a very different dynamic-

I hear you

patreon version of the pod is like an extended mix of an 80s Prince song
eg. the meg v tory topic a few months ago, none of the conspiracy media manipulation discussion was on Youtube
most times whole segments are removed from the pod on Youtube

patreon exclusives (avg 3 /week.... +1 hour -2.5 hour per ep)- very under rated
They are a balance of interviews, deep dives, and life lessons / relationship issues / parenting etc

Can you expand on the different dynamic?

And

How do the producers decide what specifically counts as Patreon content?

As opposed to YouTube Spotify etc?

And can't Patreon content be pirated?

Mal?

This is Uncle Play

Real talk little brother.

You need some therapy no judgements no jokes no indictment ignore @ViCiouS

You know how he gets

Listen passive aggressive isn't you

We all see your still hurt

Don't look at EVERYTHING going forward through the prism of your previous friendship with Joe

Joe is a complicated toxic intelligent passionate business savvy guy

We not here to re litigate that situation

But listening to you here?

The pain and scars are obvious

Take time as much as you need

Heal yourself forgive yourself learn from it and move on.

Cause for you to act like you don't understand at ALL the points Rory and the woman were making made you look bitter as f*ck.

Cause you stopped talking about Joell and Crook about a minute in...

that was ALL ABOUT YOU.

And it can't be that.

more mature in some ways - and more combative
Ish is a know it all -argues just to argue - but sometimes provides real insite
while Ice is very knowledgeable in some areas
Parks v Ish is a thing - especially when Ish tries to argue against Parks' expertise

highly controversial = Patreon only

yes it can be pirated, but it can get taken down easier because its content behind a paywall

Everybody got that friend that you invite out to shit but they never come. Eventually you stop asking.

But the moment they find out about some shit that you DIDN'T invite him to, they in their feelings talking about "Why I ain't get no invite?"

A more apples to apples analogy would be. You invite a mfkr to a party and say "There's gonna be bitches." And they say, "That's cool, but when is it?" And ask "Where is it and what's the dress code?" You know details that matter.

You continue to say there's gonna he bitches. They continue to ask the same questions. You say fuck it, ghost them and THEN you tell them about "what they missed out on."

Now they're confused like I might have been down, but you didn't want to discuss the details.

Can't lie, I would have a problem with this if I was Royce and Joe. They blamed it all on those two. Mentioning Royce was cooler when he was drinking, bringing up Joe's pill addiction :smh:

he wasn't wrong

The reason that Crook and Joell are doing this, is because nobody is checking for them otherwise. I'm only aware of Joell's projects from when Parks or Joe mention it on the pod. I didn't even know about the Crook and Joell one they already did.

The reason that this is getting traction is because Joe finally responded. When Royce was doing it the week before, people barely cared.

Bruh this is mad flagrant.......

After seeing this visual with these lyrics........ yeah man. WTF?!

Joell talking about tearing Slaughterhouse down. Mentioning Joe and Royce's addictions. Then Crook talking about they're snakes. "Joe married to retirement, why are we making the fans suffer."

Joe has alluded that the retirement thing was to get off Shady so that they could become independent......and that he has talked to them about that behind the scenes more than once......

So if that's the case.....he's not "married" to retirement.

But not for nothing both songs have had sneak disses to both Joe and Royce.....why the fuck would you expect either one to "support" or cosign some nasty shit like this?!

This is just wild how neither one can see their faults in this.

Your comment caught my attention because I had bought that album a few months ago.
But I also had never heard about it before seeing it & buying it. (I did a search on iTunes for "Joell Ortiz" because I was looking for the "Gorilla Glue" collabo album that Joell did with Fred Da Godson and saw the joint with Crooked I and decided to cop both of them.)

I was watching various videos, interviews & LiveStreams, trynna to get ALL SIDES of this Slauughterhouse story, as told from their different perspectives.

A few hours ago, I stumbled across an interview that Crooked did earlier this afternoon on the "Bacon Egg & Cheese Show" Podcast (with Lady Luck + Babs Bunny + Miss Lissa). During this interview, Crook mentioned that he & Joell had released an EP called "H.A.R.D." back in 2020, but it dropped just when the Pandemic first broke out.

As a result, they couldn't shoot any music videos for any of the tracks because nobody was willing to leave their house to come outside & film them. And everything they tried to do to market the music was damn near impossible to accomplish, at that time.

So Crooked acknowledged that he & Joell did not market that first album correctly at all, due to the 'timing' of when it was released.
Skip to the 16:30 mark to hear him explain that EP situation...

ON A SIDENOTE: I gotta give these 3 ladies their props. Nicely done.
Yeah, it's kinda long, but this is a really DOPE interview, just in general.

They all asked Crooked some very DIRECT & very insightful questions about this whole Slaughterhouse situation.
From how the group first got started.... to how we got here, at The Breakup.

And I gained alot more respect for Crooked, after hearing his side of the story.

Sheeittt, after watching this video... I doubt Joe Buddens is going to do any LiveStreams that include Crooked. :smh: Not any time soon.

Sure, Budden is going to talk/complain to (or get interviewed by) everyone else & their mother about using the Slaughterhouse logo & whatnot.... but Crooked might be THE VERY LAST person he will ever hold a conversation with, about this whole situation.

Judging from THIS interview, it seems Crooked has way too much ammo to air Joe Budden out & I just don't see Joe Budden sticking around if he's "getting bodied" in a Livestream.

Just saying.

The biggest mistake you can make in a group or being part of the record industry is that these are your friends. Nah. Nobody friends. It's all business relationships. The moment ur not generating income you get tossed to the side. Oh we not a group, we brothers........no the fuck you not. The Lox maybe, but most others don't rock like that. They talk about tours and the wild times, that's normal. What about when there ain't no money. This is why I place so much blame on Joe. If we're signed to a label as a group you shouldn't do anything to jeopardize the situation. Talking shit about Eminem and Paul Rosenberg probably isn't good for the situation and ur only accord is to retire leaving them in limbo in a recording contract. Then say if you niggaz find a way out of it sure I'll rap. To place this at anyone else's feet is misguided.
