Clear the GOP is going to do it... they can't even get a power-sharing agreement signed... imagine when meaningful legislation comes... better to just do it soon and get it out of the way so that you can pass whatever you need to... however, 3 Dems in the Senate have signaled they aren't with it... so essentially they're gonna wait until McConnell grinds things down and be "forced" to do it later

This is exactly the plan and it will work because the GOP created an alternative universe with the help of Fox et al. and also benefit from the dismantling of the public school system. A strong majority of the population has no understanding of basic civics let alone the rules of the senate. You have to look at not only the 2022 senate map but the 2024. You have to look at house races for not only 2022 but 2024. You have to have wins to build confidence.

I want the senate to act like Dallas against Miami. The republicans thought they had it wrapped up but they ended up losing.

I watched half of that Navalny narrated documentary earlier today, and I am in doubt
of the claims he made which seemed based on hearsay, suspicion etc. There is a bulding
that has been built on part of Krasnador Krai, overlooking the ocean that he claims
is Putin's $1billion palace. At the same time, he says the land is owned by the FSB...

Navalny needs to be careful. He boasts at the beginning of the documentary that he
did not want to release the documentary while he was abroad, lest it be said he had
courage when he was out of the country, so he waited to return before he actually
did. The guy accuses very powerful people of very serious things, and there is a
legitimate case to bring against him.

However, the brazeness with which he was arrested may be such that he is killed in
jail. If that happens, then what?

I'm sure he has powerful friends, but dude is really going for it because he's at their mercy while in prison or in Russia in general. Putin has a decision to make. If he waits too long, killing this dude is going to end up being his demise, but he's also right now morphing into Putin's biggest threat, ever.

It may work also because the defualt for a lot of people is to put the blame on democrats for things. Even when the blame should clearly be in the republicans.

I tried to tell dude who was defending the security guard who got caught with unlawfully carrying a firearms in his truck in DC. That him being let free from lock up didn't equal the guy was innocent because they're letting a lot of folks out. Shit is crazy.
