Yeah this is what pissed Jimmy off. He felt like he deserved to be the franchise player and should have gotten the contract that Karl got.
Lebron would have ran Wiggins out of town with the quickness man. No way he'd put up with him. Hindsight is 20/20.What's crazy, I thought the Cavs were stupid for trading Wiggins...Now,I'm glad they did....
He would got ran out of town, if they kept him.

How can you pass on this deal in ANY sport...
The Houston Rockets are making a renewed bid to acquire Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Jimmy Butler, including four future first-round draft picks in their most recent offer, league sources told ESPN.
The Timberwolves have continued to solicit offers on Butler since the start of the regular season, the sources said.
Houston's push represents a desire to sacrifice some long-term roster flexibility and go all-in with a legitimate third star to partner with All-NBA guards James Hardenand Chris Paul in pursuit of a championship.
The Rockets' offer constitutes the maximum number of first-round picks allowable in a deal, factoring in league rules that necessitate no first-rounders can be conveyed in successive years, and no pick can be traded farther out than seven seasons.
The lottery protections on picks in this proposed deal would be limited.
Discussions on the players involved in the Minnesota-Houston talks remain fluid, league sources said.
So far, Minnesota has been unmoved on offers for Butler, who requested a trade in the preseason and has told the organization that he plans to leave in free agency this summer.
The Rockets would be trading for Butler with a strong desire to re-sign him this summer to a long-term contract extension. Butler, 29, plans to become an unrestricted free agent.
Once Butler returned to the team to start the regular season, owner Glen Taylor made an assurance to Butler that the franchise would trade him as soon as the organization was satisfied with an offer, league sources said.
Taylor could have more interest in long-term draft assets than president of basketball operations and coach Tom Thibodeau, who wants the Wolves to continue as contenders now and may not be part of the organization when many of those potential picks are conveyed.
Still, those picks could become immediate trade assets for Minnesota to use in other deals -- or perhaps to incentivize additional teams to take on forward Gorgui Dieng's remaining $48 million in a trade.
Butler, 29, is averaging 24.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.8 steals in his first four starts this season.

Easy
NBA 1st round picks only really mean something if they're lottery picks and even then draft classes be trash they won't be lottery picks
Man I'd love to see how Jimmy Harden and CP would get along. That shit would be comedy at its finest!

From a basketball fit, don't think it would work at all. From a personality fit, well I would beMan I'd love to see how Jimmy Harden and CP would get along. That shit would be comedy at its finest!

They mean shit but a low 1st round pick is like a 5th round pick in the nflGotcha I figured draft picks don't mean shit in that fixed ass NBA
They mean shit but a low 1st round pick is like a 5th round pick in the nfl
Nobody trading a star for multiple 5th round picks
Top 5 = 1st round
6-10= 2nd round
11-15= 3rd
16-20= 4th
21 and below is 5th
All 2nd round is 7th round
Remember the Nets thought the same thing...

Which is why the Lakers are heralded for finding them so late in the draft just like when NFL teams find a starter or pro bowler in the 5th roundJosh Hart and Kuz were late first round picks.

The NBA also changed rules to where u can't trade consecutive 1st round picks. And also limited amount of years to trade those picks. Yes it is completely different.....Completely different circumstance
Nets traded for 3 years past their prime players to a team on complete rebuild.
If Jimmy doesn't resign they still have Paul harden and pela locked for 3 years after this so 3 of your 4 will be bottom picks they not missing the playoffs
Trading to an already more talented team.
Will Hart and Kuz become all star players though? Or maybe star players? I'm not sure that they will become eitherJosh Hart and Kuz were late first round picks.

LOL they are not the only team thats wanting Jimmy; those picks means nothing; there will be better offers if they wait it out....It does, because they're going to lose him anyway
It's better to get something for him, and that's a lot
Exactly.San Antonio has done the same
Jimmy Butler is refusing to take the court for Wednesday's game against the Jazz and could be looking at an extended absence from the Timberwolves.
The Wolves have deemed Butler's absence from Wednesday's game as "general soreness," but he's reportedly actively made the decision to not play in an attempt to force his way out of Minnesota. It seems he may have already played his last game donning a Timberwolves jersey, so now it's just a matter of where he winds up. Plenty of teams have expressed interest, but Miami and Houston have had the most substantial talks thus far.
