Jerry Jones - "Deion Could've Stopped Megatron"

Maybe but what about the overall poor defense of the Cowboys, they're horrible. An lets not forget about their on field mental laspes. :D

It fucked Bebe's head up so bad if you look at him he doesn't know if he should celebrate or be pissed off at Deion. He thought he had a easy ass score. Probably never had anyone in his life track him down lol.

beginning of the clip soon as he passes deion you here the other announcer "he's gone, he's gone"

and then 3 seconds later

"DEION SANDERS CATCHES UP FROM BEHIND"

so where is the footage of wr's catching the ball and deion not tackling them?

was he run support or anything of that kind hell no he wasn't

39 tackles in 14 seasons means he didn't get thrown to much an when he did he handled his business

which is the entire point. how do you think he got away with not making that many tackles?

man dont debate children

hell a cornerback has contain anyway

ive seen games where deion didnt even get dirty for the 69ers and gods cowboys

qbs said fuck his side of the field

hell thats why he begged to become a punt returner

no one is saying deion was a hitter

what we're arguing is that deion didnt miss tackles

hell the only time i remember him missing a tackle was against bo jackson in college

thats it

Never forget that when Deion ran Bebe down.

White boy was blazing fast, and was already at top speed...

...and Deion still dragged him.

Crazy.

Hey, was Deion faster than Rocket Ismail?

I saw dude working out in Rock Hill, SC with my some Panthers, and my uncle's friend's son, who was a major prospect at that time, and some other guys.

I've seen some fast dudes in my day, but Rocket Ismail was running so fucking fast out there he didn't look real. That dude had to be on something. Fuck that.

remember deion had to fastest 40 time ever!

even faster than bo jackson

i don't want to post the youtube videos of his cover skills where he was catching passes and you think he's on offense until you see the wr behind him basically turning into the cornerback

my bad supreme

bo had the fastest time ever

deion is still noticeably faster than the rocket tho

4.21 to the rockets 4.28

Yes, I believe Deion was the fastest player ever to play football.

He was naturally fast, so his 40 times and stuff reflected that
but he was even FASTER in game.. i think he ran faster in pads in a game situations than he did in a track setting. He's one of those talents that can literally run as fast as he needs to there is no cap.

Jerry Rice had game speed.

I've seen Jerry in games look like a 4.3 dude...

...basing this on how fast he looked to be running, AND who who outran.

With a corner like Prime the QB would have alotta responsibility to make precise throws he ain't separating from Deion

This part is important. Stafford is not an accurate cornerback. Deion used to get cooked by Irvin...so Megatron could cook Deion... he had a major size advantage... the difference is that Aikman was accurate as hell...

nobody is sonning deion

and moss isnt beating deion deep nor is he going across the middle like rice and irvin

i think deion owns moss and gets into his head causing an epic meltdown

Moss is not the type of receivers that gives Deion problems... Moss would just run straight past people...you arent just running straight past Deion...it was receivers who were precise route runners with accurate QB (and that's going to give anyone problems).... really only Irvin and Rice consistently got there's on prime... Irvin used to use his size... Megatron is going to get his on anyone... but it's going to be deep down field because he could just outjump Deion and then on very quick slants (irvin used to get those and use his body).... anything else Deion gonna get some INTs because Stafford is a REALLY inaccurate QB.. that stats really dont show how off he is sometimes because Megatron just catches everything...

moss could moss deion and there's not really anything he could do about it.

everything else you said is true.

naw man.... you just won't be bombing on Deion because you aren't going to outrun him... Moss is going to get some but Deion was faster than Moss... though Moss had the height advantage and could jump.. but Deion would be on his ass like blue...right from the line of scrimmage

that's the irony...he wouldn't get his head and shoulders in there but he found a way to bring a muthafucka down :lol:

All i'm saying is if the franchises mentality is we need Deion back from the 90's time machine talk then CowBums get ready for another loss this Sunday, you lost get over it and get prepared for the next game sheeesh :smh:

I saw the article earlier but i dont remember the details from the interview. I'm assuming that he was asked if he thought Deion could defend him...because I KNOW he just didnt throw that shit out there and shit all over his CBs like that unprovoked.

the only advantage ive said is jump ball situation lol i agreed with every other assessment about their matchup

i just don't think there's anything anyone could do to stop moss in a jump ball situation other than hold his legs or trip him in the air

Yeah.. he was putting it right in there hands.. forgot that wideouts name

It was Durham... but that's not that common man. Stafford has his times where he makes incredible plays but he misses a lot of wide open passes... us Lions' fan pretty much expect him to miss 4 or 5 wide open WRs every game...where he just straight misses by a mile..it's crazy...

that pass to Durham was money though

everyone always said he was deceptively fast... like the kind of player who absolutely lost no speed with pads on....plus his conditioning was crazy... like in the 4th quarter, if he beat you on a slant he was gone on speed and stamina alone because he was still "fresh"

I hope he didn't :smh: and i'll admit I din't read it either I'm just going by the statement presented

if that is the case then you see too many dropped balls from laser beams. damn near every game he gets praised for his accuracy and arm.

You've got to me making this shit up. One of those things is correct though. The Lions lead the league in dropped passes... they drop a lot of balls.

However, Stafford has never been praised for his accuracy. Actually, one of the biggest things people discuss (even at Ford Field live in the stands) is how so many of his passes could have been for more yardage if the receiver didn't have to adjust to the pass.... look at a passes like Manning and how often he hits his receivers in stride.... Stafford doesn't do that often... and he doesn't have TOUCH... even on those dropped passes, they don't account for how difficult he makes the catch for the RB out of the backfield. Bush has about 6 dropped passes this season...however, 3 of them were just throws too damn yard for a receiver who is 15 feet away.. he lacks touch

if he caught that in stride and there was no lb to change his path it was a wrap.

If you get put in a position where you one one one with a jump ball with Moss or Calvin Johnson, you're fucked for the most part... I think even moreso with CJ because he's taller, bigger, and jumps higher than Moss....so yeah..I agree with that... I think the main thing is that unlike big physical guys or guys that could also run routes, the only thing Moss really used was his freaking athletic ability to just go after the long bomb.... which I think Deion is uniquely built to deal with that because he's going to blanket moss and moss doesnt have the body to create the necessary space at the jump point.... you beat up on Deion with great route-running (thats how Rice and Irvin consistently beat him in the middle of the field)

if he caught that in stride and there was no lb to change his path it was a wrap.

that was it....it's funny how effortless he ran man.... he never looked like he had blazing speed but he would blow by the supposedly fastest guy on the field...

and his QB could just throw to the spot because they knew Rice would be exactly where he was supposed to be

I agree with that.

They, especially Jerry ran perfect routes. Combine that with being physically imposing so a rough corner didn't bother them.

In today's game a jerry rice and a michael irving would probably command $100 million dollar contracts. the way the rules there wouldn't be anyway to stop them or contain them

Personally Deion was very overrated he got his interceptions and pick 6's but he hated to tackle and hit his speed helped his game and the media overhyping him made Deion who he was but bonefide great corner i didn't see it..JMO

That wouldn't even be fair... those types of guys with these types of rules :smh::smh:

these rules are finally giving these scary ass WRs confidence to come through the middle of the field again.... you can't hit nor put a hand on a muthafucka now... those guys would carve defenses up
