Jay-z Does it Again

he is taking a ;) at Noel Gallagher, because Noel said "I'm not having hip-hop at Glastonbury Festival. It's wrong." Jay is performing "Wonderwall" by Oasis, Noel Gallaghers band.

thanks for pointing that out to the dumbfucks in this thread...lol that was a big fuck you to dude from oasis

Remember, hip hop workers are not artists. So they don't know anything about instruments. They just move product! Ever hear Michael, Luther, Springstein, Elvis,Santana or Aretha yelling their record labels and having sales contests?

Complete bullshit....so you are trying to say NO HIPHOP ARTISTS ...(yes they are artists) knows ANYTHING about instruments....um like Wyclef.....The Roots...Lauryn Hill....yeah you're right they know NOTHING about instruments...fuck outta here with that bullshit

Take it from me, Jay- Z was doing a massive piss take (means mocking and clowning) of Noel Gallagher who wrote that song for his band, Oasis

Noel had been very critical of Jigga headlining at Glasto

I have watched the whole show and Jigga rocked it like he said he would

Silly, the doors were open in the late 80's with Rick Rubin started sampling rock songs.

People listen to what they want to, and don't need J or anyones help!

No Silly.. The doors were open to whites in AMERICA. An international fan base is a totally different beast. Especially when the promoter of the event didnt want nothing to do with hip hop at his venue in the beginning.

This isnt a contest of who knows best.. I was just stating the obvious.

Ah, good shit.. Didnt know that.. Well then, that performance is definately alot iller than i thought.

Dude went form sounding like a man on his albums, to sounding like a b*tch. He went from a grown music Hustlin to this Coonery? If he wants to be rock-n roll do it the way the original rock'nrollers (who were black) did it...don't be a fool and grab a guitar shick'n for the Man.

Jigga's wack.

I still don't understand how the black community feels comfortable Playin to white people (for money). Meanwhile half the check goes to a white boss, and the artist can't be free to be Himself. He had to cater to these herbs who know NOTHING bout music.

Not ot mention all the sisters and brothers who've been sucked into this shitty music. Now they think Lupe's The best mc of all time.

I wanna drop anvils on these losers.

^^^I don't normally knock the next mans opinion to much but yours is is a bit too negative.

I was listening to rock music well before rap/hiphop became a viable entity.

My uncles turned me on to groups like KISS, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple as well as the guitar God Jimi Hendrix but they also hipped me to cat's like Sly & The Family Stone, Bootsy Collins and George Clinton who formed the bedrock of psychadelic rock/funk back in the late 60's and mid to late 70's.

I grew up listening to all types of music throughout my younger years and my tastes have broadened as I've gotten older.

It's really sad to see some cats unable to just chillout and enjoy themselves without having to bring all that pseudo-militant rhetoric to the game.

Rock has played a major part in Hiphop from as far back as AfriKa Bambatta, Grand master Flash and the Furious Five as well as PUBLIC ENEMY, CYPRESS HILL & THE BEASTIE BOYS and RUN DMC so there's nothing wrong with Jay-Z rocking out for the fun of it.

I'm by no means a Jay-Z fan, but even I have to give him props for doing what he wants to do and being true to himself.

Anyone who saw Marilyn Manson's video for "Tainted Love" would have seen the elements of HipHop styling evident in it, and Korn, Incubus,Faith No More and SlipKnot have shown their HipHop leanings on their albums from time to time.

It's just kind've sad that some heads feel the need to worry about the next persons tastes rather than just focusing on themselves and their extremely narrow-minded world view

The sound of Hiphop was originally born out of heavy sampling and reinterpretations of other artists music. A lot of that music was rock based so it's a bit short sighted to be so much of a "purist" that one loses sight of the fact that good music comes in all styles and packages.

Peace.

^^^Anyone watching Jay-Z totally take the piss out've Noel Gallagher by ripping this Oasis track is nothing more than a hater.

Glasontbury is no joke and for Jay-Z to have such a huge audience singing along with him word for word and just generally getting down to his vibe, is a true testament to his showmanship and overall proffesionalism.:yes::yes:

i love how he did 99 problems right after that wonderwall. straight pissing on noel, like my brother Black Limey said.

This was like "The Takeover", but he never said an actual diss towards Noel Gallagher. Noel's looking like an ass right now. Those people may have liked Jay before, but now they love him even more.

Why is this only 1-star...niggas be hating hard on this board...bunch of broke angry ass niggas...

Guess Jay-Z is trying to compete with L'il Wayne now?

That shit was pathetic.

Brother looked like a buffoon for even attempting "WONDERWALL".

Some of the stupidest responces ive ever seen on this board coming from all angles and perspectives. I cant even pick one to say something about.

I think it was dope that he had that song in his set.. even before i knew the reasoning behind it... it would have been nicer if he practiced the words a bit... i wouldnt even be surprised if he knew them and purposely sung it half assed to fuck with ol boy.. but still it would have been nicer if he did it seriously. The point was him saying to the author "look, people who listen to my shit listen to your shit... grow up." Same could be said to a few people in this thread.

Jay z is not the only artist that can go practicly anywhere in the world and people will know the words to their shit.. even alot of underground cats get that kinda love.

AND FAKE GANSTA 50 AND LIL GAY KISSING FUCK WEEZY HAVE TALENT .

GO SUCK YOUR MOTHERS PUSSY AND DIE AND FUCK YOUR FATHER IN THE ASS THE NEXT TIME BEFORE YOU SAY SHIT THINK OR JUST RUN YOUR FUCKING INTO THE WALL EITHER WAY SHUT THE FUCK UP ASSHOLE !!!!!!!

You idiot really didnt read the topic of the video in allhiphop.com

Before the performance, he was told that Hip Hop doesnt belong in Glastonbury. He opened the show, dissing Ghalagher. If you dont understand this, you need to shut the fuck up
