Almost every major corporation has a group protesting against it.

People have to be selective regarding how they spend their social capital.

Also, Jsy Z and Bey probably didn't know. It's not like the protesters spoke with either them personally. The article says they reached out. That could have been some random tweet or DM that neither would ever read.

This is just an attempt to use their names to bring more awareness to their issue.
