Jared Carmichael believes Dave Chappelle tarnished his legacy. Thoughts?

this is what i was trying to say in the other thread
u can be gay but he seems the type to use his gaydom for the agenda

I rock with Jerrod...although his last special was a not a comedy special...it was more a conversation with jokes. But to say that Chappelle is "dying on a hill"? Is quite a bit! A Google search doesn't make your legacy. Legacy is how people talk of you when you're gone. What comes up when you search Richard Pryor? Let him tell it, it should come up with all these Richard Pryor having sex with white movie stars, but it doesn't. Maybe for a season in the sense of current events, but a legacy is built for the long haul. It endures tabloid news and rumors.

This that shyt people talk about fighters that stay past their prime; 'It's hurting their legacy!!!' NO THE FCUK IT ISN'T!!! Father time is undefeated! A fighter fighting past their prime against a younger, hungrier fighter is nothing more than that. This does nothing to the accomplishments that they have set earlier in their career. Fcuk outta here!!!

What you think about Bill Cosby?

Dude.. Carmichael should be a yoga instructor because he's stretching the fuck out of his bullshit. Only ignorant niggas believe Dave is gay bashing. I mean, when the fuck gays can't take a joke? As far as Carmichael being gay? who gives a fuck. Funny is funny and already he's bring more spotlight to his gayness instead of his jokes. FOH!

Traditional Black comedy audiences, whatever that means wasn't checking for Jerrod before his gay announcement.

But he will attract more gay supporters by speaking out against Dave, because those gay people had no idea who he was before he spoke against Dave! :roflmao:
The ultimate irony would be if his audiences end up being all zesty/Dave haters and as a result.... he's forced to tell all anti-hetero jokes.

Unfortunately there are some things that are so heinous that even legacy can't endure. Dave Chappelle and "anti-trans" jokes aren't one of them...BUT that still can't take anything away from Bills' stand-up specials of him working clean, the impact of the Cosby Show that brought about A Different World and even gave birth to shows like Fresh Prince and others.

Do the rapes "tarnish" the Cosby legacy? Yes, but in the sense that people can't separate the artist from the person. Even I am guilty of it, if you look at how I see Will Smith now. So the shyt is hard!

The Black community isn't a monolith.

My guy. There's a whole JC thread. Alot of niggas with never heard of him or only know his sitcom in passing because it was wack. Nobody black I know is checking on this nigga. I understand black people are not a monolith. But it's super fishy that right after he comes out, now he got something to say about Chappelle. So I ask again, where's the lie in that tweet?

I saw that. It was more like a TED Talk than anything else and all the while I was wondering who this dude is. I'd never seen anything of his and wondered how he got a special and then hosted SNL with about the same material.

The only similarities in these two situations is a lame black comedian who couldn't get a following with his own people so decided to shit on another more successful, funnier black entertainer. All for kudos and acceptance of CACs. In JC case the white alphabet mafia.

He use to have a show The Carmichael Show with David Allen Grier I think on NBC

Had no reason to! He wasn't gay then. Now that he's come out there will be a resurrgence and he'll get a new show.
Yes he was. How you think he got the show from Hollyweird in the first place?

He might've just recently came out to the public, but them alphabet gang players BEEN looking out for their fellow fruit booty nigga behind the scenes. Every regular person in the world wondered, "Who is Carmichael and why does he have a show?"

Again, all of the people that you know are not all of the Black community. As for JC, he didn't speak on it was because he hadn't announced he was gay.

Bro WTF are you talking about? Go to the damn thread and read for yourself. You're being purposely obtuse. You riding for the LGBTQ+ community? You believe JC faggots ass is right? So again, where's the lie in the tweet?

Your assumption is the Black community is a monolith and if I don't believe Black community is a monolith then you assume I agree with JC. In that ig post that white dude made an assumption about the Black community and you completely believe him so believe that white dude then, bruh. That's on you.

You're typing, but you're not saying anything. I've conceded that black folks arent a monolith. With that being said where's the lie? What do you have to refute the tweet. The idea is invalid because a white guy said it? What's your stance? You gonna add to the conversation or you gonna pull a JC and try to shit on me for clout?

I was commenting on this white dude's opinion of the Black community and his assumptions he was making then you chimed in & said "where is the lie?" & I told you through my response is that the lie is his assumption about the Black community.

I just saw Dave Chappelle where he lives in Dayton Ohio. He's holding a concert there. I bought my ticket for $160 and I sold my second ticket for 300

Dave Chappelle is not tarnishing his legacy, as a matter of fact he is showing he can give a single fuck with y'all people think about his legacy because he know he's great and he knows he's untouchable

You got to be an idiot to not get what he was saying. He had the perfect simile for trans women.

Caitlyn Jenner is as much a woman as Eminem is a Black man.

I'm paraphrasing, but he stated that Caitlyn Jenner winning woman of the year what's like Eminem winning black man of the year. It's bullshit

At the recent show he said ladies get used to this shit. Silver is the new gold ( implying that trans men who were incapable of succeeding against men would join the women's sports and dominate those instead (see trans woman swimmer Lia Thomas)

You women allowed this shit and it's about to get worse. That's just a start

I don't have anything against trans woman. I say live their lives, get married, get divorced, live wherever - but I don't give a good goddamn how many hormones you take or how many hormone suppresses you take biologically you are a male and thus males have stronger bones stronger bone density and more muscle mass than women. That's not debatable. It's in you from puberty

As big and strong as the former wrestler Chyna was oh, she would get her ass kicked by the average male wrestler. Why? Because women are genetically (in regards to muscle, muscle mass, strength) not on par with men

My thought is he's trying to get some traction on his sagging career. The whole coming-out thing wasn't as energizing as he thought it would be.

Like somebody said, he better hope Dave don't go in on him. Just to be safe he should start looking for burial plots.
