James Harden & Paul Milsap to the 76ers for Ben Simmons , Andre Drummond, Seth Curry and draft picks

Sixers look old, slow, and unable to get to those 50/50 bballs. Unless the long rebound falls in their lap, teams always seem to be a step faster. They get burned on defense and are lazy in transition.

Harden has no interest in playing D

Niang is a turnstile

Toby is always out of position

Maxey has no clue who to cover and gets blown up with picks

Thybulle is a stat hunter. He is always gambling for steals or blocks to pad his numbers. But when he misses, he is out of position and the open 3s rain down

Embiid will hustle back for blocks but gets bored playing man coverage

Are they effective? Do you know what's MORE important than your fourth scoring option NOT scoring in the fourth quarter? Your FRANCHISE player. Your FIRST option. The guy who has an offense built JUST for him. I will admit I'm amazed at how Ben Simmons became the focus of a loss when Embiid went bitch mode in the last three minutes of a close out game. It's dismissed with well he took ownership of that. That easy to overlook?

I did, however, ask a basketball question. Can anyone explain the games where Ben averaged almost 30 points for the two games Doc experimented with the offense running through him? Remember. We're talking about a no shooting, not free throw hitting ass dude. Better yet, why, after its success did Doc revert back to the offense without any tweaks?

In case it's still unclear. I'm not anti-Philly. I am anti-Rivers.
IMO the nets won the trade but NOT because of harden and simmons....that part of it is a push as far as I can see... we lost it because morey gave up too much...Simmon and two draft picks for Harden and Millsap is an even trade..

But two draft picks PLUS curry and drummond?? And milsap in no way improved anything on the sixers bench so far.

And your right about rivers..they can get big leads and the records ok but they struggle to hold it and struggle with better teams..and theres no adjustments for that and thats all on the coaching.

Can't find anything wrong here i agree

Harden had a clear and ready Tobias Harris in the corner... you think that was a flagrant 1?

Yes. Flagrant fouls today don't take into consideration intent. Harden didn't intentionally lead with the elbow to hurt but he did lead with it to draw contact. Again, intent is never considered.

I've been saying this for a while. First the Embid MVP thing. I have always felt Embid's tone during the Simmons stuff was bitch like bordering on jealousy. Low and behold Simmons has a shitty series and Embid is the MAIN voice of discontent. So much so he breaks the unwritten rule of keeping shit behind closed doors. He adds fuel to the mix by being the poison pill during the process to make sure there's no other option than to get rid of Simmons. Rivers? The only other players who said anything were contract hopefuls trying to score points. That said, the Sixers don't impress me. Embid is free throw line dependent and so is Harden. Harris knows he won't be there next year and Maxey is allowing the chumps in Philly to make it seem like he's on Simmons "pay" level. After all, you keep telling me how much better I am than he is so pay me. Don't win THIS year and it's a wrap because the changes coming next year are going to be drastic as fuck.

thats the other thing I'm annoyed with harden..he goes for the foul more than he goes for the shot..its a bad habit and a bad gamble.

Can't have four max or almost max contracts. Harris will be traded which will be a huge mistake because it ain't like this kid ain't predictable on offense Things will get tighter in the playoffs and his lack of defense at that position forces them to move other players to defend offensively inclined guards. He's earned a decent payday but the question is will it be ACTUAL worth or Ben Simmons hype that will affect the asking price.

Tobias imo is the weak link, he’s too slow and not good enough at the four. Harden will be harden and that’s a bad thing.

Sixers in first place...opinions????

Horrible for them. I can't think of time in the NBAs history where the 8th seed would be viewed as a formidable opponent for a number one seed. The Nets lingering around at the bottom now have a a well rested Kyrie and will be getting back all their players by the playoffs. Simmons having an l4 herniation is a big deal. I think that's wishful think if folks think he's going to squeeze in a game or two. Maybe the FINALS but the playoffs? I don't see it. I know a little something about L4/L5 surgery. It takes MONTHS to recover so surgery isn't on the table. Steroidal epidurals can help but it doesn't take much to aggravate that shit.

and just like that....dropped to fourth...

My question about simmons is how the hell hurt his back he aint did shit all year?

Offense is his strength on a team that has plenty of offense he's not so much a weak link as he just isn't going to get usage on this team.

I take back what I said, Harden is the weak link:roflmao:
No doubt I said day one they lost the trade they will have to see if they can get lucky and get a forward that can be productive without the ball the summer it's going to be difficult though with Harris contract.

1-we didn’t lose the trade- YOU SEE WHAT SIMMONS US DOIN- milking the whole season not one toe on the court but yet wants to be PAID! His heart not in basketball- just the money of it! Harden does need to get his shit together and show da fuck up in big games we need to win! If I were MAXEY I’d say fuck it and take over..

I said harden for simmons was a push.... both fade when the pressure is on. Against stronger teams both harden and simmons came up short offensively so on top of all of that morey gave up two really good supporting players who was helping to keep the sixers in the top 3 in standings with simmons out...THATS where we lost the trade...too much was given up...its like trading a bugatti with transmission issues to get a lambo...transmission issues....

history is going to show that paul rich is a genius agent.

That's what made what Andre Drummond said on Wednesday so refreshing. It was honest. The Brooklyn Nets center argued that it wouldn't have made sense for the Nets to trade his young backup, Nicolas Claxton, at the trade deadline because he might not be around next season. "If we're all being honest, I'm only here til the rest of the season. Who knows what's gonna happen in the offseason?" Drummond said.

This isn't exactly breaking news. Drummond will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. He signed with Philadelphia for the minimum last offseason after a very disappointing stint with the Lakers, but he has vastly outplayed that contract and likely expects a bigger one this time around. The Nets, deep into the luxury tax with three max contracts and a number of expensive role players, almost certainly won't be able to give him that deal. The most they could offer him would be roughly $6 million via the taxpayer mid-level exception, and it's no guarantee that they're even willing to go that high. In all likelihood, Drummond is going to be playing for another team next year. We knew that before this quote. Nothing he said changed that.

SHOULD THE SIXERS RESIGN DRUMMOND IN THE OFF SEASON???

maxeys like WTF ARE YOU DOIN?? and everyone is just standing around.... :smh: :smh: :smh:

I posted this in the basketball thread. He had Maxey and someone else wide open on the right side but steadily dribbling the ball and then pass the ball when Embiid was double teamed...

:smh: :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh:

I read a comment that the play was supposed to be for embiid but it clearly broke down and instead of working the ball around he tried to force it.

gilbert arenas may be very right in he assessment of harden

Even, the play was for Embiid;Harden should have passed the ball to Embiid much earlier. Embiid was at the top of the free throw line with position semi-open and Harden is steadily dribbling the ball like a fucking idiot.

Arenas is right,it's too late to change Harden now.... :smh:

NO way Harden cares about Ball, that dude is clearly chilling sleeping with chics and hanging with his boys, no way you play like this and care, dude is robbing the league.

@Lower9Nupe

predictions for the sixers IF their bounced in the first round???

IMO the 3 people who are going to catch the most heat in if the raptors win are Morey, Harden and Thybulle. Matisse totally set himself up with that half assed vaccination shit.

if the sixers dont at least get to the conference finals or the finals even if they lose....next season will be the last season in phillly for embiid. at this point he's on Charles Barkley's trajectory in philly and will demand a trade id not engineer one himself by 24. Everyone else is doing it...KD did it with OKC to golden state, Lebron with clev and miami. there plenty of examples. If the sixers dont get to the conf finals this year the process will officially be a bust and the team will get blown up in the offseason.

Its assured that Korkmaz, Green, the two young guys they almost NEVER play and possibly Niang are going to get traded... Its a big question mark on whether its smart to keep harden...and they'd be dumb to deal Maxey away but Thybulle put himself on the hotseat...but chances are 2023 is probably going to see a completely different line up.
