Summertime? We were outside 365 days a year. We used to have two a days in football. The score would be nearing the 200's. Nobody had a crate or basketball court so you had to hit a cretain spot on the lightpole to score in b ball. After DC had a big blizzard in the 90's is when we had the most fun playing football. They don't know what they are missing.

I think the Blame is on Bad Parenting, Kids needs supervision, i.e your kid will follow what he sees you doing and want you tell him/show him whats best for him. Our Parents would let you watch TV/play games at certain times the same should apply to us raising our Kids. There is a Time for everything, there is no Reason for kids to be hooked on Computers/games/ and not doing any kind of Physical activities. Make them do them.
