The problem is back then you didnt have to worry about stupid people tryin to kidnap kids sure their was sum here and there but not to this extend......Now you gotta have atleast two adults just in case one of them isnt paying attention cuz it only takes a few seconds to kidnap alittle kid....

But I do agree that parents shouldnt let their kids play video games all fuckin day.....Thats one of my flaws I have cuz my parents wouldnt let me kick it with friends during the summer and I would play video games all dayum day to waste time....And when I went back to school I wouldnt have shit to talk about....Its one of the reason why Im so anti-social til this day but Im getting better at it though...

Oh na we played that we just didn't have a name for it. Or @ least not one I remember. A batter would lose his turn if he hit a pop-up or struck out 3 times or had a combination of strikes and grounders (or one-hops like you call em) that made 3. We counted grounders as foul balls so you couldn't get out on a grounder if you had 2 strikes or 2 grounders in a row. We'd play that if we didn't have enough people for 2 small teams.

I miss seeing kids in the street, I know damn sure I was out every damn day. My mother had to come get me with a switch to go inside.

That's why these kids are so fat and antisocial. They don't go outside, they don't run, play, ride bikes, play bball, or chase after girls. Many of us grew up with no video games or computers. I remember nailing a milk crate to the light pole shooting hoops, riding our bikes all around the city getting into trouble, jumping on the back (outside) of local buses and riding for a few blocks , playing "free-for-all" with someones shoe when we didn't have a football. Man I miss those days.

Man not to go OT but to show you how important Saturday morning cartoons was I remember on one Friday out the summer when the new cartoon line-ups was about to come on all the major networks CBS NBC ABC would compete during prime time hours showing you all the new cartoons that was about to come on the next day. That show you how official that shit was. And I definitely remember the Kung Fu joints they used to come on Fox 5 in NYC @ 3PM on the dot. I think they called it Saturday Afternoon Drive-In or some shit and it was always a damn kung fu flick.
