It's past time for a convo on health

This is being depressing and frustrating. I work in health care doing traveling nurse and c'mon people, if you put the 2 liter away that you wanna drink with every meal, oh you can't/don't/won't do any type of physical therapy but you complain about missing smoke breaks, refuse to drink water, etc and wonder why you bed ridden, losing limbs, sight and so on. I'm not saying be cross fit or an athlete but FUCK I've taken care of people dying and in wheelchair that should be enjoying life.

At the end of the day, you have to advocate and care about your own health but it’s so much easier to do the wrong shit than it is to what’s best for our health.
fukn dollar general and family dollar feed a large percentage of our people. People barely make a livable wage so how do you expect them to cop the right veggies and good foods when my spinach costs $7 and that gets you three pizzas and two drinks in a place like that?
Game is rigged so you gotta play your OWN game.

I work nursing homes, hospitals, hospice, etc and I've seen people that can't even get out of bed throw full fledge guys about having their smoke break outside, no matter the weather. Imo get your priorities together. You can't even roll over to wipe your ass but you complain about cigarettes, ordering food that can feed a family yet you're eating buckets of chicken by yourself

Some people just live for today. They don't think about the repercussions to their future selves. We all have vices, but a lot of people don't have the discipline for moderation.
That's the key..
I'm working on kicking processed foods, sugar and ever since I ended up with friends in the hospital I've stayed away from cold drinks(soda, etc whatever you can them in your area)

For optimal health and living your best life possible, you need to modify and monitor your diet and exercise regularly. Crazy thing is that if you just correct one-of-the-two, you will see cast changes. I cut 11lbs in a month simply off of drinking only water and fasting. Once I got back on my regiment, I cut nine more. People Gotta believe they’re worth it.

Family, that’s all you need to do to start. You will see and feel a change in a few weeks. Trust.

Exactly, everybody wants the quick fix and even then don't do the work to maintain it. I know women that have ended up in the hospital after tummy tucks etc because they didn't take care of themselves

Food can be just like drugs to a lot of people. It even triggers some of the same pleasure responses in our brain.

Telling someone to stop doing something they have been doing the last 20, 30, 40 or 50 years is not the easiest thing to do.

It's really a lifestyle change. You have to gradually change your habits. It's not easy to go cold turkey but try to start somewhere.

Instead of eating 6 slices of pizza a day, try to eat 3 or 4. Soon you can get down to 1 a day and maybe you can substitute pizza with Salmon and vegetables.

Keep doing this over time until you get to a point where you can control your appetite.

I'm trying figure out, if drinking Dr pepper by the 2 liter or 6 pack made you lose your foot and now you're bed ridden, at what point do you stop

You don’t have to go crazy off-rip. Just make sure you eat within a window of time and stick with that. You already made the choice to cut out the processed bullshit so you are on your way. Sugar is a fukn drug so you’ve done the hard part.
thank you for starting their convo. Whatever reason the BGOL need to get right, I hope they do it

I'm in decent shape but I make 43 next month, it's time to step it up. I know I don't drink enough water in a consistent basis and I workout allot. It's just late night cravings

Not only do I feel you, but I understand. I have tried to help folks since my awakening, but I've learned people know what they are supposed to eat and drink. Dense healthy foods and water. But It's too hard for most people. I just made a loaf of quinoa bread with black bean flour & Almond flour pumpkin seeds, almonds & walnuts. Shits good as hell. My taste buds have changed. Now I see why when I use to eat anything white why I got hungry. Now I only eat dark foods rich in antioxidants. I stay full longer and even though I'm consuming more calories than I burn, I'm still losing fat.

I stopped counting calories, fad diets and just eat rich dense healthy foods and fish. Never felt better. I also listen to my body. Keep sodium under 1800 mgs, take my BP every day. Always around 100/60. It's all about how you want to live the rest of your life.

Not that I gave up trying to help folks, but bra trust me. Most people don't care about truly eating healthy and respecting the body as a temple. They just, live because let's just be real, it's a lot of work. I stopped letting myself feel ostracized because of the way I eat and fast for 16 hours daily. Call me crazy but by September this old man will be around 13% body fat. Get some.

Respect on that.
I've read we're not even supposed to eat flour and everything white is wrong because it's bleached among other things for color, flavor etc and it's harmful as hell

I'm thinking of 2 boiled eggs and a real fruit smoothie with oatmeal for breakfast before work or the gym and dinner will be salmon, cauliflower rice with broccoli or asparagus (or something similar) nothing but water until my birthday next month
I've started doing the apple cider vinegar and cinnamon, honey I'm the morning as well

Lack of discipline and laziness, pure and simple. It's easier to get fast food than put the effort into cooking even if it's detrimental to their health. Plus they figure the doctor got a pill to fix everything.

The easiest way to loose weight is calorie deficit diet, but dieting is low key one of the hardest things for anyone to do. food especially bad food is too easily accessible

It takes time and money too which a lot of people don't have. Even foods that appear to be "healthy" ( think yogurt, granola bars etc.) can be packed full of sugar which is addictive in addition to being horrible for you. I check for the added sugars and sodium on everything. They get you with the low or zero fat and then all of the added sugar. We switched to "regular" greek yogurt from the low or 0% fat to avoid this but still :smh:

Think about how many times you have seen somebody with one of these or something similar.

37 grams of added sugar (73% of your total for the day) in one little drink. :smh:

My wife got these healthy kids' drinks for our little ones and they had like 33% of the sugar for the day in one little can. :smh:

I routinely can lose 24 pounds In a month....with the Killa Routine....I drink a gallon off that well... every day of my life.... grilled meat and veggies only is the only thing any knigha need to be eating on....if he trying to lose weight....brah

The art of cooking is unfortunately lost amongst many humans now-a-day… truly believe if more people knew how to cook many recipes human health would be better overall.. like there is thousands of recipes for chicken but unfortunately most people know less than 10 and the 1s they know aren’t the healthiest 1s.. the info, the practice and demonstrations, the catalog of recipes need to be extended for humans to do better currently and for the future.. I even said if there was a cheap affordable food program that humans could get access to where a variety of dishes were prepared and able to be delivered to any person that wanted it, it could make a huge difference in health

Some of us have to learn the hard way and even than it's so hard to focus and do what we know is right.

Food has become a thing where it's a big event in our day, people actually start thinking before their day begins on what's for dinner, what are you cooking?,what you have a taste for?,what did you cook last night? all of that in a text.

We need food to live but it's reached a different level....I just pray my GFR levels go back up
