Is Weasel F. Baby doing his thing on this track?

wow i actually like that

nice song if wayne did more shit like this maybe i would fuck with him. Seem like he actually wrote that.

the carter 4 might shape up to be a more mature album, which may have some non-fans attention for a second

Where the fuck y'all niggas been these last 7 years???????????? Oh well, better late than never I guess. Fuck... whoever's still sleepin on Weezy has cheated themselves out of unequivocal sheer greatness. I equate it to a nigga hatin'/sleepin' on a young Biggie throughout his career only to realize 10 after is death that he was a phenom. There's hundreds of songs where Wayne stays on the subject matter and there are hundreds of songs where Wayne just spews out whatever comes to his mind (the latter seems to be more entertaining to his core base) but whatever style chooses to display the rhymes never loose their potency whether it's a subject matter song or a stream of consciousness mixtape track. Man I can go on for days about Waynes greatness and how there are a class of people who just didn't understand the greatness.

I take it you agree with me. Seeing as how if you didn't that would be some sucka shit to just post "laughing faces" without directly challenging my statement.

As a matter of fact, I challenge anybody to challenge me on the subject of Waynes greatness.

Until Wayne actually creates a great ALBUM that showcases his ability to write real songs without meaningless punchlines, etc. like the greats before him, then he is still levels below Jay, Biggie, Scarface, Outkast, Nas, etc. Wayne's potential is GREAT, but I think its a shame that his mixtapes are on the same level if not better than his albums post Carter era. He's probably a top 5 GOAT of mixtapes. Chew on that.

Nice drop.

Decent lines in this one that didnt seem to be thrown together/recycled like some of his drops as of late. The flow sounded a little 3000-ish to me (Style not content wise).

Don't lose your artistic appreciation in the differences between a mixtape and an album. As a fan, the music should be judged the same regardless of whether the album was downloaded for free or physically purchased. You must take into account the age we've been in for about a decade now. The age of the internet. If this was 1995 your statement would be valid. However, because of the paradigm shift in music, ALBUMS are no longer the only barometer to judge an artists body of work.
Sure the industry itself still treats albums like they're in a higher class over mixtapes, but the numbers don't lie.
Mixtapes (or independent albums) due the internet have become just as powerful as albums were through all of history. Looks at Drakes So Far Gone for example: that "mixtape" was just as impactful (if not more) than any "album" that came out that year. Now you mean to tell me this movement doesn't count because the album wasn't sold in Best Buy or Wal-Mart? This is hip hop, fuck them stores. Add the fact Wayne doesn't even select his songs for his album.
With each of the 3 Carters you get Wayne submitting 50-100 songs (per album) to a bunch suits at a desk for them to then pick the "hottest" 15 that they think they can make money off of and we all know that we should know that when you make decisions based on money it distorts your perception of the actual art (just ask 50).

Did you finish elementary school?

Wayne is a talented MC. The nigga been recording since he was in the 8th damn grade, nothing over-rated about being relevant for 15 years and your only 28

Did you finish elementary school?

Yep, dropped out in the 11th grade though. 6 years later paid 200 bucks to take a 6 grade test and received an official diploma in the mail via Van Ness High School, shouts Westwood College of Technology for settin' that up.

Did you just issue a Lil' Wayne dick-riding contest?

I have no idea what he's talking about but that's been the case w/ his music for a long time...constant punchlines delivered w/ a nice flow over a nice beat...I'll still bump it

Exactly. That's his M.O. Redman made a career doing the exact same thing but nobody says anything about that...

A lot of rappers did it/do it...that's why I don't criticize Wayne unnecessarily...Phife Dawg was notorious for that...ironically when rumor had it he was gonna drop a solo effort we used to joke saying we don't wanna hear an album w/ just punchlines but that shit became the norm after a while...I gonna disagree about Redman tho for now...some of his joints were like that but I don't remember him being a punchline mc...granted I haven't listened to Redman in a minute even tho I bumped his last 2 albums

And the other 14 songs on the album will sound like that. Him rapping bout how dope he is trying to make it sound cool.
