I thought this was common knowledge. Cuba was basically Las Vegas pre Castro. He nationalized all that shit and the cacs fled.
The question I have always had is how is it that you are "white" in Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia et al. but come here and are a "person of color"?

Not only that but a lot of them identify as white on applications and demographic questionnaires. They discriminate against dark skinned Hispanics all the time. It's just normal. I try to let people know that despite how america is,we are by far more tolerant than a lot of countries. Lot of racist in other places.
