I would not have shot them trying to run away. I may have shot a few rounds in the air to scare them so they will not come back. Of course they should have known if you break in a person house at night it is kill or be killed. Either way the couple should not have done it. I used to drive an ice cream truck (they nicknamed me big worm during those days). One day I came to a dead end road and had to turn around to leave that area. So I pulled up in a yard where there was an old couple. I thought they would not mind my trying to turn around. The old man was sitting in the front yard and the old lady was on the porch. I pulled up in the drive way and as I was backing out to complete the turn around that old fart jumped up out of his chair raising hell and coming at me. She got up quick trying to grab him and pull him back. She told me pay him no mind and hurry up and leave. So I took off fast. He was an old fart like this dude. If he would have had a gun on him I would have been shot. If the old lady had not grabbed him he was actually trying to physically attack me no matter old he was.
I do not think it would have been the same situation if I was white. In the old days when a black talk to a white he had to look at the ground. Making eye contact with them is one way to get your head swollen from punches to the head. Whites like him remember the days when blacks so called knew their place. About like how the Clintons feel about blacks. Just ask the blacks in Haiti.

Absolutely bro. I was speaking on the context of his story, but I'll be honest ultimately I'm probably not shooting warning shots even if it's a one time deal. I have a wife and a four-year-old son at home. I'll protect them aggressively, and for me I have clearly marked security cameras, I have clearly marked security sign on my house, so if you bypass that to get in my home it means that you ignored the warnings I set out. Once you're in my home your threat to me and my family, and I'm going to deal with you as such. That's just my mentality but I definitely understand your point of shooting warning shots, however for me my cameras and clearly marked security system signs are the only ones I'm giving you.

We frown upon cops killing innocent people or killing in situations where hours of training on how to deal with hostile environments should be used. If a cop killed someone that broke into their home under these exact same circumstances, I wouldn't have a problem with it. The amount of balls and lack of brains required to perform a home invasion makes me believe that person is a threat to each and every member of society.
