Im Watching 1st take and heres what was said:

Chris:

"We ran AT Ray Lewis bcuz he couldnt break blocks"

"Bigger Backs out powered him, Faster backs out ran him"

"he had Tony Siragusa and Sam Adams picking up blocks with out them, his game was different"

"With him its always been rah rah go crazy with the pre game speech"

Stephen A: "If what your are saying is true... how did a guy like that win two defensive MVPs?"

"As the game changes, he got older he changed his style of play, I'd put Junior Seau ahead of Ray.

Skip defended Ray and totally disagreed with Chris.

During his career as a backup TE Chris played for the following teams:

Seahawks- 95-2001

Pats-02-05 (Where Brady won him two rings)

Skins- 06

Panthers-07

Fauria is a bitch & ray Lewis is the ambassador of football as an institution . I could literally name 50 tight ends better than him, how he's even allowed to have a public opinion is mind boggling.

now i have said ray ray been declining the last couple seasons but damn this dude talking about when ray played with goose. I mean that was damn near 10 years ago :smh::smh::smh::smh:

Christian Fauria always on the Patriots dick, since he used to play for them...Its almost like he cant say anything bad about them but have no problem saying about another team.....:smh::smh:

I disagree with Fauria... :smh:

Seau was a GREAT MLB...

BUT... He wasn't fuckin with Ray... :smh:

There's ONLY one Linebacker better than Ray...

And that's... THE REAL LT...#56... That's IT!!!!... :itsawrap:

There did seem to be a twinge of hate when he was speaking because he was campaigning too hard for Seau. Seau was a great player but he was not in Rays league imo, Fauria also said on a scale of 1-10 he put Romo being able to lead his team to a victory against the skins at an 8.

But LT is a OLB and Ray is a MLB..would you say that Ray is the greatest MLB ever?

he anchored a super bowl team and one of the best defenses of all times

the names he mentioned helping have long retired and ray is still out there being dominant.

he was still good but not great this year in his 17th year.

dude is just a fucking loser. i don't like using the word hater.

dude is wrong and biased and it shows.

He's correct in a sense bc when there isn't a dominant defensive nose guard all linebackers have to take on full backs and leave the run stopping to safeties or other linebackers. In this scenario all offenses choose to run directly at the dominant linebacker. Harry Carson & Mike Singletary were great at filling the holes and making the tackles.

He's incorrect in that every linebacker, standing still, when hit by running 240 lb full back, is over powered.

He sounds bitter.

Ray is certainly among the greats but I think calling him the goat is a bit of a stretch.

Inside linebacker... can't compare LT to Ray... not really.

He's a Patriots dick rider for some odd reason, former Patriots players cant say anything bad about that organization, but have no problem talking bad about players from other organization or an organization itself...

I never heard of Chris Fauria end of thread and dumb ass conversation.

He is entitled to his opinon...BUT his whole career consists of being a back up tight end, and he is talking crap about a field tested, proven hall of famer?

Sorry Charlie LT was outside LB.

And you msut have never watched Lambert or Singletary and Urlacher is old now but you can't omit him.

Anyone else notice that most of this dudes career was spent in the NFC, that even his run in the AFC he wasn't even in the same division?!?

Sorry but the only people who can REALLY tell you something about another player are division rivals, somebody that you have to face two, and in the case of the Vikings & Packers this weekend, three times a season, over several seasons!!!

Just because your singular game plan may work once it doesn't mean that it's going to work over & over, and the ONLY way you can tell that is to play numerous times.

Show me someone from the Steelers/Bengals/Browns saying this and I'll listen, STILL may not believe them though!

STILL remembering this play like it was yesterday, Ray Lewis had Eddie George SHOOK!!!

Even though he was kinda of hating... he had a point. Junior Seau was as good of Player & LEADER as Ray Lewis... remember what he achieved in the 90's... Beside Rodney Harrison, he had shit on the defensive side of the ball with San Diego!

Kill the messenger if you want, but what he said is TRUE!!!!

Ray Lewis is a top 10 all-time MLB, but he is not the GOAT!!

Ray Lewis has been protected to run free because of the HUGE DTs and NGs he has played with, but he gets credit from me because he finishes.

Ray is great at running sideline to sideline.

Ray is the greatest team sport leader EVER.

Ray Lewis' hole in his game is IF HE GETS BLOCKED, HE STAYS BLOCKED. Sort of like Deion's hole in his game is tackling.

That is a large flaw for a LB. Ray is an all-time great, but not the GOAT MLB.

The fuck is a Fauria? A car? Fuck that dude

Didnt Ray get an ESPN gig? Fauria bout to get slapped up at the cafeteria

Ray Lewis wasn't the best block shedder I've ever seen and I have seen more than once, him get handled by power backs. I'll never forget Rudy Johnson meeting him square up in the hole on-one-one and running right through him. But it's like basketball in that if you play long enough, you're gonna get dunked on no matter how great you are. With all that being said, I don't think I've ever seen a middle linebacker control a game the way Ray Lewis could in his prime. Ironically, those closest I've ever seen to that was Seau.

At his best Ray made plays sideline to sideline, running down the fastest of backs and could cover just about better than any other MLB you could put in the top 10. Seau only had 18 career picks to Lewis' 31.

And all the talk about Ray Lewis being protected. He was Defensive Player of the Year in the 4-3 and 3-4. For those that don't know, those are vastly different schemes, with the 3-4 typically leaving the ILB to take more punishment due to the their only being 3 linemen in front of him.

My opinion, I think he played the last half of his career out of position in the 3-4. He was a 4-3 Mike from heaven. The 3-4 forced him to add more weight to take the punishment from the interior linemen. A few years ago he was playing at 260, and I think it took something away from his game.

Seau was naturally bigger, almost as fast, and a better pass rusher. If you're building a defense, I don't think you could go wrong with either one, but I've never seen a middle linebacker like Ray Lewis who was not only technically well-rounded in every area, but intelligent enough to run an entire defense and with a knack for game changing player in the right situation.

The closest thing I've seen to that package is this guy, who could eclipse both of them by the time it's said and done...

Man half of y'all niggas never played (i.e. actually played and excelled) HIGH SCHOOL football, much less college or in the league and SWEAR yall know football...

Ray Lewis was a great player, vicious tackler, and team leader, but he has capitalizes from having some great 1 and 3 techniques playing in front of him for his career, which is CRITICAL for exceptional LB play. These variables, for the most part, Junior Seau did not have.

Ray is a Hall of Famer, no doubt, but I think his "ambassadorship" comes more from his pre game histrionics and showmanship when he knew he was "wired" for sound.

I never liked this halfbreed at all.

Bring back the 2 live stews.

And monsters of the midway made lbs what it is today.
