Is Candace Pivoting?

I don't think listening or even liking Black artists changes anything. White people don't usually have an issue with us being the court jester. They just prefer you walk through the back entrance before performing.

Not saying him, but I do believe there are people similar to him who aren't really racist as much as they are grifters. Like the Andrew Schultz and Joe Rogens of the world.
We have been saying this for years, but it was addressed in Sinners. "White people love the blues, they just hate the people playing it."

Not sure what you mean. He's on record saying black music is immoral. Did he ever come out and publicly say anything to the contrary after discovering Kayne?

He was called a hypocrite for enjoying it in private. If this was before his public criticism of black music, it would certainly be hypocritical. And I don’t know if it was before or after. But if he evolved after, he was not a hypocrite for evolving. Sure, you could say he should have made a public pronouncement but I’m just saying the texts/evolution was not hypocritical.

Im not questioning if he is a hypocrite or not as I believe Kirk to be racist. For Candace, the post could serve two purposes. One just remembering someone she considered a friend which is seeming more than that even if it was never acted on. Two, someway of saying he wasn't racist.

People are multifaceted or are able to disassociate themselves from their traditional views. Maybe he did enjoy the music. Maybe he entertained it because someone he considered a friend asked him to listen. Maybe one day he would have changed. From all appearances, he lived and died a racist. Enjoying Black music or potentially a Black woman's body dosent change that fact. He likely held the same mindset of white men who struggled with being entertained by Black culture while believing we are less than him. As long as you bounce a ball, to a beat or potentially in Candace's case her ass, White racist men generally are ok with you entertaining them.
