Is Cam Newton now a top ****3**** QB in the NFL?

Notice how when it comes to CAC QBs, guys live off past reputation and not what they are currently doing. You dont see that at any other position. Who today ranks Megatron over Antonio Brown because of what he did 5 years ago? Or Gates over Gronkoski? But QBs who won SBs (Rodgers, Brees) before Cam was even in the league get ranked above him? Just put up a bunch of passing yards in pass heavy offenses and that makes one "elite"
This post makes no sense at all, mainly because you destroyed your own argument. Brees, Tom Brady, Big Ben and Aaron Rogers not only have HOF careers but better stats this year than Cam.

Your next point makes even less sense. If you not going to judge a QB for his passing ability then what do you judge him on?

Who was better, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Olajuwon or Russell? Give your order...

Not yet but Cam is revolutionizing the game of football. He is the best athletes at the position. He can kill you from the pocket. He can kill you and run over you if he scrambles.... He's made Ted Ginn, Philly brown and Jericho cotchery look good all with His 1000 yard receiver K Benjamin out.

Oh and that defense is the TRUTH

For this year on wins alone yes, mad props....but he can't be a one hit wonder, and we will see what time it is when he plays next years schedule, if he makes another run then yes he's elite and he is until proven otherwise top 3...let us not forget he will have to face defenses next year that will take what Carolina did this year and stop it, so time will tell but can we all calm down with this greatness talk people act like he's going to the HOF tomorrow or some shit, as a black man yes I always want to see us succeed but I want us to stop living in fantasy land like cam has had several 15-1 seasons and is like 6-1 in the playoffs all time.

Cam is not a 1 hit wonder, please stop. He's been Rookie Of The Year, a 3x pro bowler, and 1st team all pro in his first 5 seasons. Cam's 21, 000 total yards is the most by any QB in history in their first 5 seasons. Only Dan Marino posted more TDs in his first 5 seasons. Brady, Rodgers, Brees, whomever, none had the start to their careers individually that Cam is having. Cam also has a WINNING record in the playoffs, Rodgers and Peyton have LOSING records in the playoffs. Brady is the only other QB to go 17-1 in a season, so Cam doesn't need "several". And to think you had Russell Wilson as being better and more "clutch" despite his game losing INT in the SB last year and the fact he has 8 INTs in his last 4 playoff games, has never been considered for MVP, and never had a postseason performance like Cam did last night in the NFCG is laughable. Russell struggles in games he's asked to lead as a QB and put up points when his defense plays poorly, something Cam did at least 3 times over the course of this season (Saints game, Giants game, Colts game). Cam is the best young QB in the game, has been, and is now the best QB overall in the game. Until someone shows he can be consistently stopped, no need to hold on to "lets wait and see cuz he may fall off a cliff next season" narratives. All the great hopes are pushing 40, Cam is 26 with a young team. Give credit where its due.

Cam looks to be the best QB in the league right now. It's great to see. Hopefully he can win the ring and then repeat the success to remove any doubt for history's sake. The great thing is he's just hitting his prime.

hes the best right now, his ability to read defenses in his young career, uncanny big play maker, the fact those recievers drop balls, he makes all the throws, last minute game winnng drives, he does it all, dude dives head first in the endzone, SICK....

Rookie of the year and pro bowl are popularity contest and until this year he finally got more than one playoff victory...and before the accident he was 13-19...so let's not act like he was just dropping teams left and right, and inflated stats don't mean shit minus some accolades he was about par with Andrew luck 3 pro bowls etc, but luck had more playoff victories, you ready to anoint this guy as the second coming of Jesus and he had one OK season and one never really duplicate season, elite or top 3 is something you do repeatedly to get those wonders because like it or not he still has not done what russ did, make it to the superbowl twice...and one by way of beating cam

Right

What 3 you taking over him?

Let me clarify, Cam is the elite and top. How can he not be and be in the Superbowl? I love how he flipped that shit this year and sat in the pocket, he's maturing and having fun while doing it. He has a canon arm, is big, mobile and can read D's now. Carolina deserves this title and young dude would guarantee his enshrinement if he pulls it off. Go Panthers!

:lol::yes:

I can't say that he isn't :dunno:

Who can I definitely say I'd take over him? Brady?

Everyone else? Big Ben? Wilson?

The hell if you can say Carson Palmer.

Not Drew Brees in 2016.

Rodgers had more talent on offense than Cam did this year

Not sure how many times King T has to keep closing this case :itsawrap:

Well, I guess Carolina's success this season had nothing to do with the fact they played 3 crappy divisions (NFC South, AFC South and the NFC East).:smh:
