Is Cam Newton now a top ****3**** QB in the NFL?

I'm sure you can count on one hand how many QBs would be able to march down the field against that defense at home and win.Cam is a top QB this year.

Helluva game today. Made some incredible plays today.

Man.. I was watching the game today like  ! The brother is really putting it together and ironically it seems to be happening after they took all his main weapons from him...

If Cam was in Atlanta with our weapons, we would be superbowl bound. Matt Ryan is the most over-rated playoff choke artist ever.

 What I like about Cam is that he doesn't want to run. He chooses to, which is different than Vick and similar to Russell Wilson. Top 10, I don't know about top 5, but he is ahead of at least Peyton Manning...not sure about Eli, I have to think on that one.

Tier 1
Rodgers (discount double check)
Brady
Luck *may be tier 2, I may be over rating him*

Tier 2
Brees (maybe tier 1, but I thought his arm was shot, but he still may have another 2 hot years at #1)
Big Ben
Eli Manning
Cam Newton
Phillip RIvers
Matt Ryan

Rodgers, Brady, Ben...these three are far abover everyone else. Eli sits by himself with two rings.

Rivers and Cam are tied...

So it's close.

Let's see

Brady
Rogers
Brees
Manning
Big Ben

You may start to talk about him soon if he continues to have success next few years.

With Manning coming off that list there is room for a replacement

Hmmm good question. Rodgers is hands down the best QB in the game, then next you would put Brady.. After that it gets dicey, but I'd definitely put him in the top tier.

Dude's been balling with only one legit offensive weapon. If he had half the arsenal that Rodgers has, or one dominate player like Gronk he would be nearly unstoppable.
Hands down? I'm not saying you can't make a case for Rodgers, but hands down? Really? If he does not start to string some playoff wins together and maybe one more SB, he's Peyton Manning 2.0. Great regular season QB with out of this world stats, but nothing else.

Notice how when it comes to CAC QBs, guys live off past reputation and not what they are currently doing. You dont see that at any other position. Who today ranks Megatron over Antonio Brown because of what he did 5 years ago? Or Gates over Gronkoski? But QBs who won SBs (Rodgers, Brees) before Cam was even in the league get ranked above him? Just put up a bunch of passing yards in pass heavy offenses and that makes one "elite"

Cam is def top 5 QBs in the league. There is only one stat that matters and that is the Win column. At 15-1 he has led his team to the post season with the best record, breaking records all season. As of right now he is and has been the best QB in the NFL this season. No telling What will happen in two weeks. But right now he is at #1 in that top 5 list.

Calvin johnson and gates are old they not putting up the same plays they used to but I think Calvin got another G in yards, elite does not equal one season cj and gates are elite they have done it at a high level for multiple years. Doing it big for one year and hella stats equals Phillip rivers, tony Romo, stafford.....all of them have I think fewer than 5 playoff victories.... So by your definition cam equals elite because he had one great season and stats....and one playoff victory, elite equals multiple seasons of greatness and deep playoff runs and you atleast sniffed the Super Bowl, I'm not stuck on super bowls per se because some of the greats never got one and some Rudy poos have one.....but some of the big dogs of the nfl all have a ring some multiple

Man did you just put Andrew MF Lucky charms ahead of Cam. WTF has Luck ever done.

No he's black.

all black quarterbacks are "beings of an inferior order, and altogether unfit to play quarterback in the NFL and to be compared with the white quarterbacks, either in college or in the NFL, and so far inferior that they can have no accomplisments which the white fan was bound to respect

Why are you all so stuck on those damn stats. Football is a team sport. If you have the best stats in the NFL but you team never makes the playoffs, You know what you are. A Mother Fucking LOSER!

In the context of this discussion that is not the only stat that matters. Of that was the case the year Tebow led the Broncos to a win in the playoffs means that year he was a better QB than all of the other ANd that didn't. This season, Drew Brees didnt make the playoffs... Does that mean that Cousins or Weeden are better than him?

Team loses doesn't negate the talent of a QB.... See my previous post to you bruh

...and to echo your point Rodgers has been ass the majority of the season but he stays getting Jordy Nelson pleas copped for him yet Cam doesnt get the benefit of the doubt for his avg receivers or losing his best RB.... CAC are a trip :smh:

For this year on wins alone yes, mad props....but he can't be a one hit wonder, and we will see what time it is when he plays next years schedule, if he makes another run then yes he's elite and he is until proven otherwise top 3...let us not forget he will have to face defenses next year that will take what Carolina did this year and stop it, so time will tell but can we all calm down with this greatness talk people act like he's going to the HOF tomorrow or some shit, as a black man yes I always want to see us succeed but I want us to stop living in fantasy land like cam has had several 15-1 seasons and is like 6-1 in the playoffs all time.
