President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has arrived in New York City. [FLASH]http://www.liveleak.com/player.swf?token=6db_1190643318[/FLASH]
When was the last time any politician gave a straight answer? They are ALL suspect.
Sometimes, from an exchange of ideas, we get closer to the truth.

Ahmadinejad's Holocaust Comment's.
I don't hear anything terrible.

someone embed that for me
Frankly, I don't know whether he is or isn't "the new Hitler." But what exactly makes you think so, based on what he said the the clip above ???Man I'm convince that this is the new Hitler. Too bad I'm in the minority...
Here's what I heard him say on his 3rd question, as he put it, and what I thought was both interesting and revealing regarding the holocaust (I may have a few typo's and omissions here and there):
"If it [Holocaust] happened, where did it happen? QueEx
I hope his speech is much better than the BS he threw down on 60 minutes yesterday Sunday... that dude couldn't give a straight answer to straight question...in my mind, that makes him very suspect.
Iran defends Holocaust conference
Monday, 11 December 2006
Iran's foreign minister dismissed Western criticism as "predictable"
Iran's foreign minister has rejected criticism of a two-day conference being held in Iran to examine whether the Holocaust actually happened....
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has questioned the scale of the Holocaust, in which six million Jews died.
Participants include a number of well-known "revisionist" Western academics. American David Duke, a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan, is to present a paper.

Maybe, but I thought he asked the question rhetorically. That is, he never expected to provide an answer -- but obviously we know that if it occurred it occurred in Europe and not on the lands where Israel now exists. In other words, if it happened in Europe, he opines, why award the Jews land in the Middle East, why not award the Jews land in Europe.I believe the question was asked about the Holocaust with the intent of getting a yes or no answer.
The counter to Ahmadenijad's argument is the justification for Israel's being. Can you make the argument for its rightful existence in the place or places that it exists ??? Is there a justification beyond the mandate of the United Nations ???Ahmadenijad is utterly despicable in my opinion. Not only does he deny the Holocaust, but he has also called for Israel to be wiped off the map.
Anytime your rhetoric consist with hate towards any group of people, and you are in charge of a country.....should I have to explain, just listen to what he is saying...

I listened to the President of Columbia and thought he was insulting and undignified in his comments. I stopped listening to Irans President solely because the translator was irritating and did a disservice to him. From what i can get from other sources Ahmadinejad counterpunched well. His point about Palestinians bearing the brunt of the crimes of Europeans is on target and won't be addressed by any western nation or Israel. Until it is, conflict in the middle east is inevitable. whether it goes nuclear is a real risk, but the decisions made by europeans decades ago will be the cause of it.
On the nuclear issue Iran has an absolute right to any technology it believes will enhance it's future survival......PERIOD.
Lay the Palestinian militants blowing themselves up and killing Jewish people to the side for a moment -- its sort of a chicken and egg argument anyway because, some way, they wouldn't be blowing themselves and Israelis up if the Israelis weren't there. Nevertheless, how do you justify Israel's existence, outside of the United Nations ??? Is the United Nations creation superior to the rights of the Palestinians??? To be clear, I'm not arguing that it has no right; but what is the legal and moral justification ???Does all of this justify Palestinian militants blowing themselves up and killing Jewish people who did nothing to them? No, it doesn't. Whether anybody likes it or not, Israel is here now, and it has just as much right to protect itself from rogue states (such as Iran) as every other nation on earth does.
I was going to make that point or, at least, ask that question of BigUnc. But, with respect to Israel, see my comment above. You're absolutely right. However, the countries that are doing their best to keep Iran from getting the bomb also have a right to ensure their survival, particularly Israel.
If he means the Jews can't hold "ANY" land in that area, can there ever be peace ???

Could be that too..... sounds more like something called "double speak."
