You may have to temporarily disable you AV to extract and run the patch. It's pretty fast. You can type in whatever info you want. Repeat after it updates again as you will be alerted with a dialogue box informing you the program was running on a fugazy activation code. I've been using it since 2010. I wouldn't recommend it if it wasn't the shit.

For those of you who have been having trouble I think it's safe to say IDM is on to us and the patch we have apparently exhausted. So here is another one. https://mega.co.nz/#!ZF0EFRJL!M1wINDAp7vVM3VKntHFxbrbrzbezsU9jehhAYomTq3A. If it asks for a password use lexxdiamond . It's comes with IDM 6.23.10.exe. I didn't bother doing a fresh install. The patch as per the instructions worked like a charm as the version was already installed. Enjoy

Appreciations, bruh.

I had to uninstall IDM because it kept giving me shit about how my registration code was fugazi.

Is there anything I can do to stop this "rebuilding" thing that happens once the download reaches 100%? That shit slows down my whole computer.

When IDM finishes downloading it takes a very long time to rebuild temporary files.

The problem is 100% caused by conflicts between IDM and other applications that try to control all disk activity. It can be some FireWall/Antivirus/InternetSecurity application for example, which controls traffic and all files (file parts) that are written on disk. They always go-between IDM and real file on hard drive two times (for read and write processes) and can slow down the whole process greatly.

Thanks...right on time...just upgraded my HDD to SSD, my MB, RAM to 8GB (should have gone to 16GB but I'm good) and upgraded from Win7 Ultimate 32-bit to 64-bit!! I needed this big time!:yes::yes:

So is there a real reason to upgrade to the latest version?

I'm still on 5.18, seems to work flawlessly, hasn't given me trouble or asked me anything in years.

One of the best utilities out here. I spent the $25 for the program. Show my props to them.
