I was looking up information on George Washington Carver and found at least two audiobooks that portrayed the people that "adopted" George Washington Carver and his brother as good Christian white people. Both were writing by white people. I wasn't buying and called Bullshit on that. The circumstances just wasn't adding up in my mind. Then I hear this post and I'm devastated, because this makes sense with his life story. Devastating if true.
