if my processor lacks this technology what am i missing out on? i know i cant run xp mode in windows 7. besides this, what else won't i be able to do?

can i install virtual machines, vmware, etc?
can i dual boot win7 and winxp and other operating systems?

Are you running a PowerPC or an intel chip?
 
this is on a Laptop. The laptop processor is dual core Pentium T4300. the other processor on in question is a core 2 duo T6600. both dont support the intel virtualization technology.

now, this is on a laptop that i bought but would consider taking it back to get a laptop that allows it. (will cost me more money though)

xp mode is a load of bullshit, its basically the same as vmware or virtual box, and btw you can install them on that core 2 duo system, but make sure you got a minimum of 2 gigs

the core 2 duo mobile? T6600 and 4gb ram on laptop? am i straight or no cigar on ram? how much ram to run vmware and virutual box, etc, without a hint of slowing down?
