I posted this on another site in reference to Saturday's UFC's fights.

It's was the best card in I looooong time. I thought Penn was in over his head, if his fat ass can't get down to 155 he needs to retire, plus I've always thought he was overrated. Wasn't surprised on the outcome of the main event, Henderson is a beast. What's gonna happen when MacDonald has to fight GSP?????? I REALLY wanna see that fight, they are in the same weight division and the way it looks, it's going to have to happen...well, Condit can push that back tho'...i think it would be a HELLUVA fight between MacDonald and Condit. Also...Gustafsson (great white hype) will get his ass whooped by Jon Jones. That's all I got.

- Well said, Iron.

- I liked how the event lived up to the hype
- People wanted it to deliver, and it did (even the prelims)
- So glad the UFC airs the prelims now in recent years after always having just heard & read about them back in the day (and missing out on lots of good scraps)
- Wished this could have been the card that was introduced last year (November 2011) on the first FOX show (Velasquez-Dos Santos at 64 seconds)
- They still should have shown HENDERSON/GUIDA at last year's show (great 3-round fight) ^
- BJ Penn is much better at 155lbs. He talked a big game, but Rory was too much for him (as he walks around at 200+ and cuts down to 170)
- Jon Jones is too much for anyone these days. Gustaffson might match him in length & reach and also be a quick big guy ... but Jones is still on a whole 'nother level embarassing former champions and future HOF'ers the past 2 years
- MacDonald is probably waiting on GSP's retirement or Georges to move up to 185 (if Anderson ever retires). The GSP/Silva superfight won't be happening for some time, unless Dana and them drop major money on both.
- For those who haven't seen MacDonald-Condit I from mid-June 2010 ... watch that shit. Vancouver, B.C. ... UFC 115 ... Fight of the Night and they each collected a $70K bonus. Excellent scrap. Not sure if Rory had made the move over to Tri-Star in Montreal at that point, but he was B.C.-based up until that point beforehand ...

CJB - Don't have Showtime or Superchannel. Some decent names on the Strikeforce finale (especially Cormier, Noons, and Marquardt). Too bad Rockhold & Melendez opted to nurse apparent injuries and transition into the UFC (without the bullshit of losing or not performing as well before the move over). Cormier's a test for anyone at 202 or 225+, and Marquardt's legit at 170lbs. Some good UFC cards coming up too with events on January 19th, 26th, and 1st week of Feb'.

i'll say it. Quinton Jackson needs to retire...i refuse to call him "Rampage", that shipped sailed when he "lost" to Forrest Griffin. The ONLY thing he does well now is, not get beat up...he needs to go, and he can take Guida's lay-and-pray bitch ass and bobble head ass B.J. Penn with him.

Also, in Bellator....i'd LOVE to see Ben Askren's bitch ass get tested against any of UFC's top 5 170 pounders...i hate that maufucka...he's like a better wrestling Guida that also does that lay & pray bullshit. I'd also like to see Eduardo "Dudu" Dantas (135 lb champ) fight against some UFC talent also..he's a bad ass fighter, reminds me of Renan Barao.
 
Agreed regarding Rampage as he's gotten older. We all wanted the PRIDE Rampage (as he's got a legit wrestling skill set in his own right) mixed in with his power. Instead we got 6 years of Rampage being stubborn and becoming a 1-dimensional boxer.
