wtf, they have a site dedicated to waves now...lol

the diana or diane brush works real good. Its real soft with no handle. If your hair is thicker than the dude in the picture then you need a brush with harder bristles. That pomade really doesn't do anything for your hair. A little pink oil and a good brush will make your waves flick.

Thanks for the info on wave pomades! I do have VERY thick hair so it looks like I'll need a brush with the harder bristles as you've suggested. Can you recommend a specific brush?

I tried to get waves many years ago and I wasn't too successful...

Looks like dude has straight hair like myself, its hard for me to grow waves I am gonna have to give this a try.

PROPS

can't think of the name of the brush but if you got to sallys or any beauty supply store you'll see some brushes with no handle. Pick the hardest one. They might have some numbers on them to like 595 etc. Check them out!

If your hair is like mine, then brush it when it's wet. THat usually makes the waves come out.

Sigh, so basically start with a normal hair pattern, end up looking like a flaming homosexual?

What's the big deal with deep, glossy 360 waves anyway? Where I'm from, only gay men try to pull that look off.

F'real. Looking at those before and after pics, the before looked hella better.

Get a clean fade and keep it movin.

i use carrot creme in the morning when i get out of the shower. Put that stuff on when you get out the shower or wash your hair and the hair is still moist, brush a few times, then toss the rag on. The creme will keep your hair looking good and healthy without having that greasy ass shine that the wave pomades give you.

I thought waves was in back in the 90's? I don't see anyone rocking waves now days! Everyone in FL has either gone to dreads or shaved head.

Interesting. Can anyone recommend a decent wave brush, and can I use pure unrefined Shea Butter instead of hair wave pomades?

back when I had hair on my dome, i would use REFINED shea butter to get a look that the ladies seemed to love. my wig was soft, silky, and the ladies loved it... esp. white gals for some strange reason.

this shit is expensive, but it is by FAR the best shea butter product you can use on your hair & scalp... even my barber switched to using it.

L'Occitane 100%, 4.9 oz.

Waves will always be in. It`s low maintenance, with a little hair gease and a brush your cool.
See a brother like me has had waves off and on for year. The ladies will always like waves. Dreads are cool for people who know how to rock them,

some of them look like fools(I had to use that pic, look at that kool aid smile). Shaved heads are for people who have no choice, just let it go. For me I grab a can of murray`s super light and a diane brush, then brush til the tide rolls in.
:D

Ladies love wavy hair that all. I keep a taper with the 360 joints. I've said it more times than I can count. You cant just get waves, either you got em or you dont. All I do is brush my shit, I wash my hair everyday and use Palmers Olive oil formula. I use three brushes depending on how long my hair gets. But thats all Ive ever done. The shit just easy, brush my hair and walk the fuck out the house. And females you dont even know compliment you on your waves all the time.

lol...yeah some of that shit is a little OT...I just use some normal grease...wet a normal brush...lol @ the "Diana Ross" brush or whatever it's called...anyway I use a normal brush wet it with hot water and brush my shit for some subtle looking waves...damn surf's up nigga!

You dont need that shit, wash your hair about every couple days, brush it dry, apply pink oil or some kinda light moisteurizer, brush more, apply rag. Always sleep so tossin and turnin don't mess up your pattern. Once you find the direction of your pattern always brush that direction. You can never go wrong with waves and a tight line up.

My waves come out when i wet the hair. then i grease it up and I brush it with a Fade (has a soft & hard side) brush and i'm done...just tie it down for a while so it stays..
