If you post on BGOL use 'CTRL+A, CTRL+C' ALWAYS! Damned Database Errors
(ctrl+A = HIGHLIGHT ALL; ctrl+C = COPY ALL THAT IS HIGHLIGHTED)
Remember when you were a latchkey kid and you got to the house only to find that you lost your key. You had no idea when your parents were getting home, but you know you had to wait. Now you might go over to a neighbor's house and chill out for a while, but there is nothing like your home.
BGOL is my home. I have 4000 links on rapidshare, 1500 links on megaupload and all of them are here. I post some porn lately I hit "submit" and I get...
Now this is annoying to me for three reasons
I come to this board because it is the most interactive forum out there. Some forums I post one of my megathreads and it has over 2,000 or 5,000 or even 10,000 views and like 2 replies. Here, folks will say "thank you"; "props"; "keep it up"; or whatever. I'm not an attention whore, but many on other boards don't know that a little bit of encouragement/props can make you want to keep contributing or quit trying. Some boards it is like giving a speech to an auditorium full of people and you finish your 5 minute speech only to find the mic was unplugged...did they hear you? Were they listening? Did they care?
Here folks clown other folks & newbies. Folks post about every single thought in their heads (some of that shit gets annoying, though). I love this place, but it makes it difficult to contribute porn if there is a DBE every 10 minutes.
I don't give HNIC shit because I know he does what he can. This is a hot board. More people coming in than the server can handle. I don't know if he knows how to fix it. I know many of you think HNIC is just pocketing the donations. This is bullshit. It takes time and money to run a board such as this. You work a 9-5 then come home and do this during your free time. Believe me, he isn't getting rich off of us, but damn if this shit ain't frustrating.
Is this just a wait and see, maybe it will get better type of thing? Or will this just get worse. I remember when it was this bad before and the DBE's started happening less frequently. Now any time from 6PM til after midnight if you don't use ctrl+a & ctrl+c after you post you may lose all of what you typed. No other board I post on gets these kind of errors so often.
HNIC, I think people want to know:
A) Can this be fixed
B) What do you/we have to do to get it fixed

[*]I usually try to "sync up" other boards I post on from what I posted on here. If there is a DBE I can't access my porn WITH the screencaps and have to search my harddrive for the screencap then search rapidshare for the corresponding link. It's a headache
[*]This place is where I call home online so when it isn't working I feel like the latchkey kid waiting for moms to get home...is she working til 7PM or 11PM...I don't know.
