If Westbrook gets 16 Reb tonight he should be the MVP again!

I disagree with you because Basketball is the unique sport of the 3 where you have an opportunity to TRULY affect the team's success or failure.
But still in line Nash is the only one that got that kind of love and Jason Kidd should have won the MVP both those years.
You can disagree but pretty much every single time a person won was be cause they were the most dominant figure in the game... Its the reason why majority of them became hall of famers cause greatness had to be in your bloodline to receive it.. Than they shitted on the term MVP and gave it to Nash and the award hasn't been the same since... You could have a team full of bums but if you drop 50 a game and average 15 rebs a game there is no way you don't deserve it even if your team is an 8th seed... Its the reason why Kobe deserved it that 1 yr..nig had smush parker, Luke fucking Walton, and kwame brown and still took them to the playoffs.. Most NBA players wouldn't even got out of bed if those guys were their teammates but Kobe did and actually won some games... That dude went off that yr..he was the most dominant the most talked about, he made you want to watch bball to see what he'll do next..but nope they gave it to "he makes his teammates better"

Harden deserves MVP and will win it. But....

This points to why Lebron should be the MVP.

Bro that's because EVERY FUCKIN TIME LeBron loses you guys defense is to point fingers at the people around him and say he needs more help.

That train ain't never late, but it's damn sure a bit early this year!
Man you over here making no sense. This has nothing to do with no losses or nothing that happened prior to this year. This year.....Westbrook stat padding. His team is middle of the pack. His team has underachieved all year. Lebron has a bunch of 6th men on his team. He is a legit candidate. Harden is the best player on the best team. He's a legit candidate. What are you even arguing? That Lebron ain't a legit MVP candidate?

It was about being the most dominated player.. A rb could go for 2000 yds and team be a 6th seed in the playoffs.. He was still unstoppable but his team clearly wasn't doin things on their side... Why a mlb player could hit 65 hrs and get 150 RBI and team be a wildcard or may even miss the playoffs and yet he still gets it... If some dude has a wilt chamberlain like season but his team is a 8th seed you don't think he deserve the MVP?... MVP always been about the most dominated player of the game that yr for the season... Its why Steve Nash MVP was a sham.. Nig won the MVP with average 15.5 pts a game and 11 assist... They used his team record and the bs line "he makes his teammates better" to get him that award
Them Suns couldn't win shit without Nash though.

Your argument is against Nash
And I never said nash deserved an mvp

He did not.

But since then usually the guy who is having the best season his team is usually up near the top of the league that's just what it is

Last year they gave it to Westbrook because of a dominant season tho his team wasn't at the top so I don't even get why you're arguing lol it goes exactly how you think it should go
Westbrook isn't dominating anything this year

If they gave it to Nash give it to kidd
I assumed it goes without saying Shaq should have 5 mvps I thought we were knowledgeable fans here lol
Actually if they gave it to Nash john Stockton should have like 10..cause Nash had Stockton numbers in fact my nickname for Nash was "less than Stockton" cause he got an MVP for having worst stats than john

Dude they went to the playoffs 2 yrs b4 he got there.. They actually missed the playoffs the yr b4 due to injuries.. Like I said they pushed the CAC agenda and had people really thinking he made a huge diff..suns were a 50+ win team like 3 yrs prior..so they was winning 50+ games, going to the playoffs, b4 he got there..than injuries happen the season b4 and of course their team did worst...Nash was Columbus...Nash didn't even have a double digit assist season in dallas... He lucked up in Phoenix and played with 3 players who had the ability to put up 20 a nite any giving nite...amare, Marion, and johnson

I'm talking about after Nash got there. If he'd miss a game they'd lose. They were embarssingly bad. They relied too much on Nash.

You also have have to factor in the times. Guys wasn't putting up 11 assists a game and like 4 teams was putting up 100.

You can make a argument for one of them...he shouldn't be a two time MVP winner though. Voters played themselves with the best player on best team shit back then. Then they couldn't win without him.....it was a flawed argument:

Nash lucked up and team up with amare, Marion, Johnson to get his assist up.. The suns team made him an all-star..on Dallas he was Jus's ok

It was the offense. Finley created his own shot but could hit the spot up jumper....Dirk the same way. He was a great fit but he didn't have nearly the athletes he got in Phoenix. Nash could ball man. I won't take that from him. But that Suns situation with that coach was perfect for him but it was fools gold. He couldn't play a lick of defense and neither could any team he played on.

He wasn't a bum but he def was no mvp

every year is different. westbrook had less talent last year and still put up a triple double for the season and had a better team. he had more talent this year pretty much averaged a triple double and his team sucks. lebron does what he does year in and year out both him and westbrook deserve it but this year is the year of the beard. harden deserves it just as much if just because of his teams record

That fhirst year should have gone to Shaq without a doubt. cacs robbed the shit out of that man. That was the year he left and Tobe Bean was in the fucking lottery.

And no. We dont have many knowledgeable sports fans here. Most of these guys are fucking morons.

It always comes down to whether you value numbers or value winning.

Records can always be broken, but they can never take away championships.

Numbers is cool, but the only number that matters in June is FOUR.

I value winning. And you can't win with a stat-padding Westbrook on your team.

The MVP should come from the best player from one of the top 3 teams by winning percentage, IMO.

I feel like the NBA would be encouraging stat-padding by giving it to him again.

The NBA currently reminds me of the 90s NBA...

When the world knew MJ(now Lebron) was mvp every year but they give the award to the next best guy

Heres why your logic is flawed.. Remember that pistons team that won the chip with rip, billups, Wallace, etc... None of those guys had great dominant seasons but they all played great together in order to win... If you got a bunch of teams that had good role players play in perfect harmony and they all were the top 3 seeds ull have to pick the MVP out of those squads.. So you saying rip or Ben Wallace would've won the MVP even though a person whose having a great dominant yr whose team happen to be the 5th seed shouldn't get it

Westbrook = Statpaddington. His team, as well as LeBron's have severely under achieved this season. OKC as well as the Raptors have been the healthiest teams in the NBA all season and they still won't win 50 games. The Raptors have capitalized off of being healthy, the Thunder have not. It is very hard for a point guard at 6'3" to get 34 rebounds in his last 2 games unless he is going purely for stats and his teammates are just letting him.

I didn't even know he was that close to a triple double until a few days ago
