Granted it’s still a newer team and the competition is stiff in the West. If OKC would have finished top three in the West then it would make more sense to give him MVP.

You gotta factor in EVERYTHING. NBA record, the players stats, the impact. James Harden and Lebron are better candidates for that award right now. Westbrook top 5. Maybe even top 3. With all those triple doubles though it was good for the 7th seed out West.

They fighting with the Spurs , T-Wolves, BLazers and Pelicans and Jazz. Jazz best player is a rookie, Pelicans lost Cousins for the year, Blazers had injuries and Spurs didn't have Kwahi all year. Thunder shouldn't be competing with those teams IMO. But they are.

I think for the fact that he added Melo (ball hog) and George and STILL average a triple double and over 25 ppg is the mvp. I've said this exact same thing. What's it going to be based on? Is it personal stats or best player on best team? I've heard both defenses in the last three, four years and all times it was opposing what James Harden accomplished.
