If HNIC makes the main board open to google searches, who else want's their posts gone?

Maaaan... when I signed up I wasn't security conscious or web savvy. I was fresh off the boat from the only black neighborhood in the northern part of southern antarctica. I always worry that if someone was really pissed, they could comb through all of my posts... actually I'm not gonna say how it would work. But, remember that according to hackers who give security classes most people tend to use the same username and password across multiple sites. I paid for my membership with a money order, and I did lifetime b/c I wanted to support the board a little bit. But, I say shit here that I would only say behind closed doors to friends. If white coworkers, or anyone else that is not family was to take exception to some of the shit I have said I would have some 'splainin to do... That's why I have said that an undercover racist is the most dangerous. Because they know their views are not right according to P.C. standards, but they still believe it and will smile in your face while they fuck you behind closed doors. Why was billy clint so popular amongst blacks then once he got reelected all of a sudden bills and laws targeting blacks were signed and ninjas are going to jail right and left? MJ said they don't really care about us.

So, I would like the offer delete old posts. All i'll be saying is 'props' and 'thanks' in posts. Maybe I'm too paraniod. But, what is a 65 year old male born in a hospital on the tenessee / florida border to do? I do love this site though.

In BGOL's Heyday (2009 - 2010) we had over 5000 active donating members
When we moved the board in December 2015 we had 3880 active donating members
Today we have 3,340 members
We are losing 27 members per month

Members are just not re-upping and with the closed format we are not attracting new members.

These fact are why I said last year that we have to open the board up.

It will probably take 2 years to get the board free and Ad based, but I'm going to start the process now and work toward that goal until it's accomplished.

Like I said at the top of the PM, I'll be sending out a series of PM's to outline my plan

I've talked to HNIC about his plan and I think I'm ok with it... I wish he dropped a little bit more information in the PM. Basically the main board would be the only one open to searches and the other parts would be excluded and reserved for paying members. If this is the vision.. I think I would be ok but I've never gone full gangsta on the board... my only exposure is the shit I drop in the music thread. I do get that a lot of us have used zero filter on here... so would have a lot more risk.

If we're going to do this why not create a new ”main board” that can be transitioned to gradually while keeping this board and all of it's content as is and private.

That way this particular board doesn't change for current members and yet you still have a board to attract new members and grow the board again.

I don't see how it won't be, and that would be the only real draw to remain a paying member because the BGOL of yesterday and today will be a memory and a lot of the vets and long-term contributors won't engage the same way in an open main Board imo.

Shit, I'm lurking on this bitch, with a new name moving forward, once the main board opens.

Once Google gets a hold of it, and the title Black is in the URL, alt-right and trump Russians get going, this new tactic of online identify verification shit will be hard on a few members. This site becomes a target like torrent sites and shit.

Most of us have some assets, but only a few can manage a online attack from the feds, over some dumb shit you said 10yrs ago.

Once it opens up, fuck that, I'm good.

We went through this shit already....

No NFL, and no posting on BGOL, shit I just picked a ton of extra wasted time I guess.

This, I got 4 years until full retirement. I'm not trying to fuck it up. :smh: I may take the name change.
 
At some point, this shit just ain't worth it. If every year or so, this is going to be an option, it may just be the time. At the LEAST, he should keep the main board locked away. Hell, @HNIC you should just delete the main board and start fresh. That's easy to do.

Then you can get the new open board with all new members you have been wanting.

So there is no way to keep a donate side and a free side? Keep the same 3k or whatever that are paying, and then start another free free board. Ill be honest I don't say anything that would be anything crazy but its to easy for an agency to link me to someone on here that is a retard and gets me hemmed up.

Def don't understand, as a business man I would find out why 27 a month are leaving and start from there. I say that because while I dig you need to get your paper you may destroy your foundation by opening it up and BGOL may be no more. Also Ive tried to go to a couple of forums and seems like there a bunch of kids with nothing of substance to offer.

Ive asked this in several threads.... What is the contingency plan if BGOL goes down? Where do we meet?
