in brief, my problem with putting the "n" word to bed is that we did not birth the word. therefore why should we have to put it to bed or have a funeral for the word. we adopted the word and used it as we deemed fit. the word is predominantly used in the realm of "ethnic familiarity"; whether we know the person we are referencing or not. real talk.
