Many don’t see the incentive to participate in this shitshow since Government usually does what it wants anyway. Most Americans don’t feel heard, seen or represented by the people they elect and vote for so why bother? It’s completely understandable.
But to your point, I’m hoping a valuable lesson was learned for those who didn’t because apathy is no better a solution.
