Ice jumped out and was trying to detaine two roofers here in my city and someone called them protesting white folks and they showed up causing all types of hell for ICE even slashing their tires on their vehicle,something we could never do and not get arrested.

Pertissue Fisher, who lives in the building,
told ABC7 Chicago that ICE agents forced everyone out and only asked questions later. Fisher said she was handcuffed and questioned before being released at around 3 a.m. The officers, she noted, “just treated us like we were nothing,” and, “It was scary, because I had never had a gun in my face.”
Resident Rodrick Johnson told Block Club Chicago that he heard “people dropping on the roof” before his door was kicked in by agents and he was packed into a van for what seemed like hours, without being told why he was detained.
Agents also reportedly left tenants’ doors flung open. Resident Dan Jones, the
Sun-Times reports, returned to his apartment “to find all of his electronics and furniture missing, and all of his clothes and shoes thrown on the floor.”

“As I got to my unit to stick my key in the door, I was grabbed by an officer. And, I said, ‘What’s going on? What’s going on?’ He never actually told me. He said I was being detained.,” said Alicia Brooks.
Marlee Sanders’ boyfriend was detained, Sanders said.
“They had the Black people in one van, and the immigrants in another van,” Sanders said.
It’s no wonder that Chicago and Illinois’ leaders
have vehemently rejected Trump’s agenda to deploy the National Guard and other military personnel to the city. Trump said during his and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s ridiculous
meeting with senior military officials that Chicago should be used as “training grounds for our military.” Obviously, he wasn’t joking, and he wasn’t only talking about the actual military.
If his administration wasn’t pretty much exclusively targeting Black and brown people, America might find this terrifying.

Maurice Woodard, organizing director at Equity and Transformation (E.A.T.), witnessed the aftermath of the accident. He joined in on the coalition’s statement.
“Feds took over the corner like a gang. They pulled a man out of his car, beat, choked and detained him. Blocked off all traffic as they did, worked directly with CPD, then fled the scene as quick as they got there,” Woodard said.
“Chicago is not within the 100 miles of the border that Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) are responsible for and have jurisdiction to patrol. CBP should not be in our Chicagoland communities, let alone choking, arresting and harassing Chicago civilians,” said Tanya Woods, Executive Director of the Westside Justice Center.
Chicago Police are still investigating this incident.
