What tactic, offensive move, ad, surrogate talking point etc. has been "slick" from Obama since this campaign? (Besides not saying anything and taking blows).

My peeps in Chicago can't stand Obama, they say he is an arrogant asshole. Playing Mister nice guy when you are every bit as cutthroat as any other politician IS slick. Obama knew he couldn't play the game the same way as the rest of the candidates, dude has played "nice guy" and STILL been shit on. Had he played hardball, he would have been gone MONTHS ago.

By the way, how many times has McCain "denouced" surrogates saying all kinds off left field racial and controversial shit so far (and we ALL know that shit is a game)? Seems to me that Obama and McCain are BOTH using the same "above the fray" approach in this and it has been working for both (since McCain has won and Obama is winning). Give this man the credit he deserves for being a savvy political operative. Why does he have to be some kind of naive punk? A naive punk could NOT have handed the Clinton's their asses this long. Dude COMPLETELY dismantled Bill Clinton's legacy, even Bill himself is pissed about it and tells anyone that will listen, but nobody wants to believe the "kindly Negro" could do some shit like that.

This race will be decided by the court. Florida and Michigan has to be done over, or those votes go to Hillary.

This race isn't going to court because that would KILL ANY chance Hillary EVER has at a political career beyond the day she sues for the nomination.

McCain will survive about 30 SECONDS of media scrutiny before he folds.

Wow, this thread developed nicely. I have read every entry and learned how intricate this game of chess is played when it's on a national level. Now that we have NC and Indy results, we need to keep this thread poppin'.
 
i think Obama is showing his true colors (pun intended)... Truth of the matter is that everything that Rev Wright said is the truth, and sadly Obama can't handle the truth cause he wants to be president.

in the end they're gonna vote for mccain anyway so it doesnt really matter. I know that when the shit hits the fan i'd rather have rev wright in a foxhole with me than obama.

....some of you underestimate the intelligence of Obama and Wright...the video tapes and inflammatory remarks whether you agree with them or not were out there long before Obama decided to run for President....so what was he(OBAMA) supposed to do but play it the way he has...like any other politician and apologize to those who were offended , denounce the remarks, or acts that were deemed offensive and keep it moving...we were going to be at this point regardless, in May or in October ....better to get it out of the way now and spend the next 5 or 6 months beating up on McCain than having to deal with Wright in October and lose all of your momentum coming out of the convention....the Wright issue will not disappear, but at some point Obama will just have to stop speaking or answering questions about it and get back to his message

I think its likely it was planned.

Barack had to disown Wright before the general plain and simple. The repub's are gonna still use Wright but the sting has been taken out now.Had he not he would have to explain a million times why he's not disowned Wright.

He did it before Indiana and NC knowing damn well he was gonna win NC no matter what and that he was probably gonna lose Indiana because the demographics were like PA.

so he fluffs this up right before states that were already decided takes a big talking point downsome with the Wright stuff for the general and recovers enough in time to not lose NC which he had all along.

There was no great political risk to getting this Wright stuff over with NOW, he has the math in his favor he knew Hillary needed NC not just Indiana to make any claims and thats she would lose NC anyhow.

So he killed it while he could.

Downside for Wright None, he doesn't give a shit about whites or the white media anyway, his base of support loves him anyway, he could sell the shit outta his up coming book and at the same time help Barack distance his self on the record even further.While at the same time saying blacks folks ain't going for the okey Doke with yall white media racist tactics he had an uncensored platform to tell America about itself.

Finally on the big stage Black folks thinking on they damn toes.

And now have a legitimate chance of becoming president. Good work fellas.
