I hope Bomani doesn't lose his job!

I don't watch sport programming like the show this Bomani is on because I don't like the grand-standing of Stephen A Smith.
But I do applaud this Bomani for having the balls to wear such a t-shirt on air for a reason and I hope he doesn't get fired for expressing himself in such a manner.

White people love themselves so much but they hate mirrors and they hate mirrors when it's someone else holding it up forcing them to look at themselves.Too look at the uglyness, the double standard, the criticism, the deep seeded hatred, that they inherited.

One good example of this is;Poor white people will focus on crime, illegal immigrants, taxes, politics, blacks, gun laws and everything damn thing but the fact that their still POOR and forever will be POOR.

His delivery leaves a lot to be desired. And I mean that tonally and substantively. Most of the time the sound of his voice and delivery are just grating to my ears. And there are times where I just feel like he tries to make everything he says profound and the most important thing in the world. I tried listening to his show and couldn't get through it.

wow...

I completely disagree.

I think because I have followed him for so many years he is like a friend and I am used to his mannerisms.

I KNOW that voice its the southern that Texas but very educated with a strong East Coast influence

and trust homeboy is NOT fake deep...we can EASILY name those dudes.

He is actually EXTREMELY intelligent excelled academically at a young age and his parents are very pro-black academics

he is very very introspective and self-critical

He can come off as defensive guarded arrogant and over confident on his views but I think that works

he doesn't suffer fools lightly.

because he reminds me a lot of Ralph Wiley but he just isn't as smooth polished and cool.

He isn't full of shit no coon doesn't say things for shock value very thoughtful and is unrepentantly Black on all sides.

And he is has a very sarcastic condensing sense of humor...

and I think its that almost Tupac like (they are nothing alike) balance of cool confident nerd pimp that gives him such a loyal fan base.

To me he is the hip hop intellectual that is truly a product of the culture that I feel represents me.

But ALL that being said I completely understand your viewpoint and wont even attempt to change your mind.

Agree to disagree. Listening to Bomani talk for 5mins uninterupted would ruin that part of the day. Thank god for Twitter, so I can read the most relevant points he has to make. I appreciate dude and what he is doing, but I can only handle him in doses. He's heavy-worded. He over enunciates and emphasizes words. Nails on a chalkboard to my ears.

understood.

and I appreciate your points cause I am so fascinated on why and HOW something like a podcast works...
because to find that lane where a MAJORITY of people like you and follow you to me is amazing. The market is so over-saturated

I used to LOVE His and Hers and actually emailed ESPN on their behalf to get their own show and haven't listened to that podcast in MONTHS because I was turned off by how they handled the whole Ray Rice situation.

Bomani said Biggie's second album was over-rated - straight BLASPHEMY for me and STILL haven't missed an episode ever.

I stopped fucking with His and Hers a few months back after Jamele took that Rachel Dalzell incident to take shots at blackmen. Nothing against Michael Smith, but that shit rubbed me the wrong way and I just stopped fucking with them.

Very thoughtful and intelligent response.
This is how we as black men need to conduct ourselves. Respectful disagreements without the need to belittle or insult.
Love your posting as well.

for some damn reason every time I see this thread title I think

Over a shirt? He could sue. What would the basis of his termination be? It's an edgy and bold statement.
