Aight, I know some of ya'll like a women with tats, some don't, and some don't care.

I got two, but I think they are tastefully done- no letters, not too big imo, and nothing brandish or ghetto. Now I would want something to commemorate my childrens names, present and future but some of the men in my life tell me 'no'- :hmm:.

I don't want nothing big, it can be small like 1/4 of a palm- what say you if the woman in your life wanted such?

I not a man but they are tacky and make you look cheap and low class so if you have 2 tasteful ones leave it at that and don't add any extra

My girl got tats. Leg, each arm, upper back near shoulder, lower back, upper chest. It wouldnt bother me at all its her body, and they are not big obnoxious tats. The face would be where I draw the line though.

I would tell who gives a fuck what somebody else thinks, especially when it comes to your kids, do you.

Thanks but i don't think she was looking for your opinion and lecture about class based on the title of the thread unless there is something you want to tell us :dunno:

Umm Melon i'm not a fan of tats in general on women, but i do respect meaningful tats and i think its cool that you care about your kids like that kudos to you. My personal rule with them is get something you can at least cover up that will still look nice when you are pushing 60.

I think tattoo's are childish and corny....but I won't lie, I thought my Wife would look good with some trap stamps on her tits and lower back for a quick second. I think I was just in a horny mood.

i think getting your kids name tattooed on your body is stupid. just my opinion though i dont have a problem with tattoos i just think names are dumb. When you say future kids how do you know you will have more and how do you know their sexes?

She was being playful, gotdamn lighten the fuck up:smh:

thats like asking a storm cloud for sunshine

If you want to get tattoos that is your body and your business. I have never dated a girl who was into them but I have seen plenty with them and placed in the right positions they can be hot.

I think for a woman to stay tasteful with it they should put it in a spot that can be covered unless she wants them to be shown. Otherwise I wouldn't have a problem. :dunno:

Mel, if you want to get something to rep your kids do it. I plan on doing the same thing when I have my own. I wouldn't have a problem if my girl wanted to get the kids names either, as long as she does what you said you have and would do with your tattoos...

Can we see the current ones so we could advise on future placement and content??
:yes::yes:

I think tats are sexy, but some tats are so common place, they become annoying. If I'm dating you, I understand you love your children, I don't feel the need to be reminded of how they looked at age one, nor their names, when we are being intimate...

Another thing is placement, I'm sure you've run across a few brothers with the tat arched around their stomach ala Tupac's "Thug Life." The same for the cleavage tat or the infamous "tramp stamp" on women. The back shoulder thing is getting played for me, and although it is pretty standard for women, I still think the lower ankle tat is the most sexy;can't really place it, it just seems more feminine.

My Opinion.
If you're thinking about getting their names tattooed. Don't.
I don't like name tattoos. 80% of the time letters are tacky. So be careful on size, placement, and style.
Too many small knickknack and little doodad tattoos are weird. It's not cohesive and I think it makes someone look like a post office bulleten board. Aesthetically it's a bad desicion and a bad way to mark up your precious body.

So, IMO. I think that getting something to commemorate your kids is awesome but if you're gonna do it go all out and get a half seeve or quarter sleeve make it nice. A real work of art. Put your artist to work lol.
Make sure he does it and leave soft space and room for more work to blend into.

Find a good shop and artist that u mesh welkl with so u can bounce ideas around.

yeah that's cool. I'm talking from an artist or would be tattooist perspective. I had started out wanting to open up a shop/gallery. :)

if you're gonna mark up your body make it worthwhile. lol I never understood why dudes come in and get a cross on their bicep and leave it at that. To me, that looks really weak and stereotypical and u wasted your skin and money. If your gonna get a big ass cross fill up that whole space with a full christan theme. Have black jesus in the background dreads blowing in the wind with a chour of angels behind him shooting flaming arrows toward the devil.

Unless you're going for strict traditional (American) style tattooing (which is already a bold colorful style). Always go for unique and dynamic. To me that is something that's gonna push both the customers and artist into a new level of creativity and ultimatelysomething thats gonna be timeless on her..

But I think mel shoud have not asked for a male opinion. I've found out that most men want their women/wives to have a semi virgin Mary way about them. men are hard to please when it comes to physical requirements for a woman.

I think she'd be better off getting with a proper artist. Taking her time. and planning it out. Especially if she's a curvy woman. A badly placed tattoo = fail.

Of course mel and others are gonna get whatever they want so the subject is pointless :dunno: I'm just tired of seeing bad artwork on people

 @ the 'tramp stamps'. I can't do tats on me tits but I do have one on my lower back...see below...

Thanks to everyone that replied.

Basically to answer some of what was asked, I do have one on my lower back that was custom made by a loved one for another loved one. All of my children's names will have a common theme so instead of names it would be a whole lot easier to get the symbol of their names, (all of the girls will have flowers in their names). Plus their last name helps. I was thinking about maybe adding the flowers to the one on my back so that it makes one cohesive piece. Or perhaps a small montage, bookmark style, on my side. I don't think I can do arms, neck, chest, butt- nothing like that. I really just need something that will weight down my right side cause it feel light.

I just needed to see how other men thought about the issue and their women, so again thanks for the replies. I need to spend some time thinking on this...cause I want the person who drew the one on my back to make the flowers to add to it should I go that route...unfortunately it's the same person who doesn't want me to get the tattoo...:(

MP think tank- begin!

I don't have a problem with tats as long as they are in good taste and don't look like advertisements for Billy Bob's Transmissions.

I'm not going to make any suggestion on this because what you select and where its placed is a very personal choice. But a tat to commemorate your kids I think is a wonderful idea. Send pics when done. :D

To me the tattoo itself should be sensual sexy, artsy, it loses it's sex appeal with names on them especially your kids names.

^^^
Your sig!

So that means your not going to show and tell?

:D

Not now. If I can get what I want I'll post the tat, though for artistic purposes.

lol, never.

Tats are art and the only words I know as art are spoken or written on paper.

Hell, I'm starting to think I should draw it myself...but I can't draw...and I forgot what my other tat on my back look like...:(

I hope you find what you are looking for and to answer the original question, I do find some tattoos on women to be very sexy as long as they keep it classy.

Good Luck

:yes::yes:

I have never liked tats on a women. Putting your child name on your body proves what . Love your kids and take care of them is all you need to do. To me multiple tats are just like a hoochie skirt. I will look and admire a women in one but I would never ever bring her home to meet momma. This is my personal opinion of course.

To me, tattoos are cool for females, as long as they are feminine, and have some sexiness to them. To me the more unique the better. If u want your kids name, by all means go for it, just make it tasteful.

:smh:remember that shit is NOT going to look cute when you're old and gray..and how much kids are you planning on having all together

If you want to be creative and commemorate their names with all the ideas you have why not just do a painting or something, frame it and put it up in your living room so they can see that and admire...... I'm sure no kid is gonna wanna look at their old ass momma and admire her tattoos of their name

one

I said no names...no lettering of any kind...come on peoples...

I don't want them to be admired, and I don't get them for other people to see...I want them for myself. I am probably one of those rare people who see tattoos as a piece of art and not some fashion statement. If it didn't mean the world to me I wouldn't consider putting it permanently on my body...the kids probably won't even know it's there...but I digress...

I want 4 tribal butterflies on my shoulder...I dont have any now though. I like tasteful tatts. I dont like anything on womens arms or breast though.
I say do you and if it makes you happy, so be it.

IF on the perchance I do get one on my upper back/shoulder I MIGHT have it spew over on the top of my shoulder/arm just a bit. But that is a project that I have in mind...probably won't get it though...but thanks ;)

Oh yeah, when you do get one, it's addictive.
