I don't think I'll ever get a job...

Man if you aren’t in major debt and don’t have a criminal history and can get a passport and twic and pass a medical examination I got a job for you. Plus if you have IT history you can get in Radio/communicatons department. Plus you get to travel to a bunch of countries.

It's a trap. He wants you to join C.O.B.R.A.!!!!

Folks have to understand that we are living and entering a completely new labor market in this country.

The labor market our parents and grandparents had is history.

College Degrees have become worthless unless you become a doctor or lawyer. Too many people have them which makes them worthless.

IT was a big trend to get into in the early 2000’s, but because of AI, that profession is dead like a TV repair man (that used to be a good paying gig before 2000).

They are screaming about migrants and immigrants, but behind closed doors, these corporations want them badly cuz they work cheap and they can treat them like trash. That’s what you are competing against today.

You gotta go into Full Hustle Man mode in this current labor market.

There is money out there in them streets, you just have to have the motivation to go out there and get it.
William Wilson, When Work Disappears…

Lmao nah. No sneak shit just an opportunity that most people don’t know about because they don’t market well. Usually just Va/Sc/Jacksville/San Diego cats know.
Is it physical work? I got sickle cell thalessmia... I'm in the process of getting my CDL class B and that should be done soon.

Yeah I've been thinking but people who know me in real life know we never really grew up bookworms, never really grew up like that.

It's a different economy, the IT boom came and went and I think Trump is gonna focus alot more of supply chain jobs, amazon driver, and stuff like that. They gonna outsource those white collar jobs.

I think cacs want these old days back so alot of minorities are gonna get put back into a certain class, so i guess if it's time to be "let it be" it's now, cacs coming.

It seems it's never gonna happen, think I'm too old and the old jobs are too bad.. HR person probably looks at me like

"What took you so long?"

I think I never to probably just go to a rural state and call it a day, i don't think I'll ever see a decent job here at all.

Think it's a wrap for me to be honest unless I find a way out of here.

Any homeless shelters? anyone renting a room?

I don't see it and I'm deep in depression and sadness, I don't know how much longer I can hold out before my heart just stop beating.

Degree did shit, CCNA did shit, A+ can't even get helpdesk... nothing works at all, maybe South Florida is too fucking crowded.. maybe like some snowy ass cac city will open a door.

Resume got shit like Mail Clerk and shit like that so I can see how the HR person sees it.

Going to be my last post for a while until something gives, either I get a job or just drop dead and no one knows.

Absolutely no one calls back, I applied for at least 250 jobs and NOTHING not one fucking offer.

How old are you?

I’m not sure if know, but the U.S. NAVY is hurting right now in order to get routine maintenance and new ships built.

Those ships are full of tech where your IT training can be of use.

The NAVY just recently sent in one of its Nuclear Carriers in for routine maintenance and it’s looking that ship will be down for 5 years due to shortage of parts and manpower to do the work. They usually got thru 18 months service.

The Marines Amphibious Ships are old and need replacement and service upgrades.

The ARMY and Air Force depot level maintenance is hurting too due to manpower and getting parts.

U.S. Military equipment has to be built/maintained by American citizens. It cannot be built/service by undocumented migrants.

The NAVY is now having NATO countries help with maintenance/ship building.

Look into it.

Depends on what department you want to go in when you get there. It’s Sailing DOD work. If you got IT experience definitely little to no work most days.

Yea that’s it right there, but it’s civilian work. No age limit. Look up Military Sealift Command.

You’ll make more with overtime factored in.

In my late 40s, okay though I'll check it out.

40s.

When you said you were old, I was expecting you to say late 50s or early 60s.

You still young in the labor game.

Yeah, the DoD and Defense Contractors should definitely snatch you up.

And if you get in, you will get those security clearances which will boost up your resume and marketability.

Remember, the DoD has an annual budget of $850 billion. The GOP plans on increasing it to over $900 billion this year. At the rate they are going, the DoD budget will hit $1 Trillion during Trump’s term.

Majority of that money goes to Defense Contractors, not to service men’s pay/benefits the way the GOP likes to claim.

Good Luck and keep us updated.

It’s America’s fastest-growing job – thanks to ChatGPT

Anil Gupta, a professor of strategy, globalization and entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business who co-led the research, said the analysis showed a clear “ChatGPT effect,” referring to how the OpenAI-developed chatbot’s launch led to the job posting spike – replacing many IT-related job listings.
