1. He's 3 Mil Less than Billups, knicks would be in max money next season with the trade(cp3/Howard etc)
2. He lives here in the offseason and would take less to play as back up to cp3
3. In the east he'd be unstoppable this season.
4. We'd b able to move Balkman with Billups thats another 3 mil and be able to get Lopez who the SUNS r trying to move, he wouldnt start but hes a 7footer off the bench.

Knicks want to give Mike D the best team they can and get into max money next offseason if they can... which is y they r tryin to buy 2 more 1sts and a 1 or 2 2nds and add defense this season b/c if they get nash they clear 3mil extra, move balkman another 3mil and Ronny comes off the books after next season so the knicks next offseason would have almost 22-25mil free for the 3rd MAX player...plus walker is off the books next season thats another 3 mil...

Also a Turkeyglue buyout will come quicker because his contract is shorter than Boozer's. The CBA will change things in ways that is going to make fanboys piss their pants and blow snot bubbles out of their noses. Rose is not likely to take below market value money to play somewhere else. I am not saying Rose leaving is impossible just not likely. Despite having Boozer's bad contract the Bulls are in much better shape than the Lakers, Celtics, Knicks, and Heat finanically. The new CBA will hurt those teams greatly because of their payrolls. Reinsdorf's fiscal tightness will be rewarded under the new CBA. This will give the Bulls a leg up competition wise.
