That's a good one. Unfortunately, I can't think of another. Its a shame because we are big consumers and support alot of other peoples' businesses. Its particular troubling that we haven't been entrepreneurial in entertainment even though we have a large number of entertainment artists. We are well represented in comedy, sports, music and other creative work, but much less represented in the supporting businesses. An example is podcasting. NoJumper and VladTv make alot of money from a black base from black artists. Can't think of Black podcasters who have comparable success in the same lane.
In the film Mississippi Masala with a Denzel Washington, he dates a young Indian woman whose family owns a hotel. That's the first time I heard of Indians owning hotel/motel/holiday inns (if your girl starts acting up then you take her friend).
Wonder how much discrimination the Patels faced when they went to the bank for a loan.
This, and most of those immigrants were rich when they came here or got loans that wasn't available to us. We really didn't start making money or was able to get business loans until the late 90's.

Brotha if you believe we oppress ourselves than that's fine, there's plenty of "evidence" out there to support that viewpoint. It seems like you're romanticizing white folks. They are just as cut throat towards one another (except when dealing with us), but there isn't a more powerful society labeling them crabs in a barrel.
White people are united in their use of a rigged system that oppresses black folks. While other groups have been ALLOWED to grow we have been feed a constant stream of trauma and injustice, so some abnormal behavior is to be expected. Right? Maybe everyone in your scenario is hesitant because they have a bit of internalized racism. For the past 2,3,4,5... generations all they know is working for the white man and see only him as "professional", "intelligent","honest", and "hardworking". That’s how your family members are.. several of my family members are millionaires, own bizz and been started their own bizz and connected with each other and put them on.. you need a holiday to get with your family members , all throughout the yr my cuzz , uncles, aunts, mom get together on some chill day shit.. in nov bunch of my family members going on a cruise.. they do this yearly sometimes more than once a yr.. we had several family bbqs during the summer.. hell a cheat code in ny family was to have a kid and throw a baby shower , the family would literally get you everything you probably need within the first yr or 2.. clothes, stroller, baby crib, walker, a shitload of accessories, etc.. my bday just passed this week on various times I done had aunts/uncles drop hundreds to thousands on me on that day or diff holidays or randomly, especially when I was younger.. 1 of the family pass times is gambling on the lottery I got uncles that makes 5 to sometimes 6 figs a yr on lottery .. if you speak to them they will tell you certain numbers to play, etc.. playahatian know about how I done made several gs off lottery each yr from the advice of people like moms, uncles.. sharing the wealth is what my fam is all about… so don’t say it’s black people that’s just your family homie..everybody ain’t the same, I know nigs that have family biz or biz pass down from generation to generation

Racist and their cohorts (the deniers) will always attempt to deflect from the fact that this nation is fundamentally racist and picks its "winners".
I hear what your saying and I dont dispute that but I also want to rigorously work this topic so that there are more responses with more clarity than that. Racism is real but there is as strong an argument for classism as well and that negatively affects everyone across the board.
Why there’s classism america will find a way to treat their white poor better than they treat the black poor, so it always go back to racism.. remember food stamps , etc was not created for us, it was created for them.. if black people were the only 1s getting public assistance they would’ve been removed that shit.. it’s just that there’s a lot of white poor so they keep it around for them, same with section 8, etc… just look how they treated black addicts of the 70s/80s( they didn’t care) , but the cac addicts of 2000s they do care( it’s now a crisis)
