My issue with that the ones complaining about the themed threads, are usually the ones that don't provide any value to the board.

They're not bringing anything to the table, except complaints. Not bringing new or interesting threads that get interaction.

I say give it a week, take a week off from updating and let's see what happens. Let's see how much talking they do, let's see how many threads that they make that draw any interests.

What they don't realize if that it's posters like you that keep the board alive. It's posters like you that make the board look more active, than what it actually is.

HNIC asked me for my opinion on what could be done to improve this board because we're losing members. Since I own a marketing company and deal with this type of stuff for a living, I gave him my perspective. You don't have to agree with it, but there's a reason behind what I'm saying. The reality is that this board, in its current state, is hard to navigate. You have the same picture threads getting bumped every single morning, and the first two or three pages are filled with the same threads that have been around forever.

Now imagine somebody new coming here looking to talk sports, politics, entertainment, or just chop it up about everyday stuff. They have to dig through two or three pages just to find an actual conversation. And let's be real, everybody ain't coming here to look at pictures of women. Nothing wrong with those who enjoy that, but why does everybody else have to wade through it?

And the argument about there being other sections doesn't really address the problem. Everybody knows the main board is where the traffic is. Those other sections are practically ghost towns. So instead of making the main board easier for everybody to use, we're telling people who want to have regular conversations to go somewhere nobody posts? How does that help grow the board?

This is what costing HNIC money.

What I said has and proves to work. I have seen it work well on two other forums that have done it successfully. Both of them with basically the same layout and forum sections as BGOL. Threads need to go to their respective places on the board. This area is Black Girl On Line. @alexw said this damn near 20 years ago.

When sites like ASR/Live2hustle.net would go down folks expressed discontent about no longer having access to on going theme threads. The day porn posters and content providers start listening to folks who don't post/provide content this board is done. Do any of the people complaining about seeing naked women on Black Girl On Line ever post fine women? No they don't. They are here because we are here. They've admitted that several times in the past.

Fact remains the people who are complaining about Black Girl On Line don't really bring anything to Black Girl On Line other that shit talk and topics that belong in other parts of the board. So instead of posting in the proper sections their logic is to remove the very threads that make folks come to Black Girl On Line. This section is like a sports bar and barbershop. Bro when you look at the forum statistics regarding content providers their reaction score increases daily because folks like what is being posting. Only two of the people on that list rarely post porn. The ones complaining about there being too many porn theme threads are not on that list and are known more for shit talking beef threads.

I think you’re missing the point. Nobody’s asking you to stop posting. But when one person is bumping enough of their own themed threads to fill three pages, that’s a bit much, especially when nobody’s really replying to them.

Not everybody comes here to look at women. Some people want to talk sports, politics, current events, and other stuff without digging through pages of picture threads.

And sure, if you stop posting for a month, the post count might drop. But that doesn’t mean those posts were helping the board grow.

Why not just give themed threads their own forum? Everybody can keep posting what they like without burying other discussions. Seems like a pretty simple solution to me.
