I find it hilarious. I got to see for myself diaspora wars & piss poor moderation ruined that board. The same garbage roughly 9 people were pushing here is what destroyed that place. Since these assholes caught penalties for their infractions a half dozen of them have not returned. The same people who enjoyed not being disrespected by anti Black dialogue. Lost their shit when they couldn't disparage other Black people. And when they stopped posting. Nothing of value was lost.

The board was a better one with Amajorfucup and that ban was ridiculous. An example of overly sensitive mods not being able to deal with differing opinions and making the board worse.

Once you can't say faggot or talk about jews the place is not for us. There is no place on the world wide web like BGOL. I remember Afrothic, Global Voices, BlackAssFest, OneWorldOneHood, Dafirm, and Sincity were all active sites. Then they all died one by one. Long live the OG @HNIC for keeping the board going for almost 30 years.

The problem is HNIC needs to move the themed threads. They clogged up board.

This is a big one. When did this happen? I remember the front page always being a hub for new interesting threads and discussions. Now the first page is clogged with pages, sometimes hundreds long, of just content. It works for sports threads but for everything else you just feel engagement fall off a cliff.

Some people just want to have the longest thread. For instance, Gemini edited his Eric Adams thread to make it about Zohran Mamdani despite a fresh Mamdani thread already existing. It would be nice to have a separate Eric Adams thread for content related to him but he just has to have a million page thread that he started.
