How Many White Friends Do You Have?

One of the strangest things I saw. When my aunt died about 20 years ago, her white female friend was hysterically screaming and crying as they lowered the casket. I thought, "I wil never understand white folks."

Don't mix or mingle with their broads either.

I keep em at arms length.

As a vicim of white supremacy that's my logical right.

Again, though, because since about the age of 14ish or so I realized that making logical sense of white people will make your head explode, I almist neverget shocked or disappointed by what they do. I also never held them on a pedestal, we weren't raised to think that they were better thsn us.

0 barely fuck with them at work never hung out with them outside of work dont attend their functions or work functions in general and my lifes been better because of it.

zero,I've done that when I was younger and that's when I learned we are different, drastically different but as an adult it's business only and a hi or goodbye nothing more or less

Right, the enemy will try to disarm you with kind deeds.

Never talk to a white woman alone or 2 white men at the same time, without a witness or the door wide open.

Though I said nothing white folks do shocked me, I had a "Dafuq?"experience at the 59th st in Manhattan station a few years ago. I was waiting for the Downtown N or R when an older white woman in her 60's beckoned me to come over. She said to me, "Can you tell those boys they're playing too close to the tracks, I don't feel comfortable doing it" .The boys were 2 young black kids, maybe about 11,running on the platform too damn near the edge. That white woman looked scared/concerned as fuck. I sidled over to the kids and waved my hand like the should come closer to the middle,of,the platform, they listened. Maybe black lives actually did matter to Miss Daisy. Or she just didn't wanna be late from a train delay because of 2 dead black kids.

Is the racism subtle out there?

I doubt it

The racism is quite subtle out here. Blatant racism gets shut down with the quickness especially here in the big cities. As for my generation I've grown up living with Turks, Cypriots, West Indians, Pakistanis, Indians, Jews and Muslims, so yeah we are quite a diverse bunch over here.

Pops from a small town outside Dayton OH. Moms from here. Pops moved to Mil for the foundry jobs they had here. They met back in the 70's...neither had dated outside race before. Now Im here.

:dunno:

They still together? How was that like growing up. I heard Milwaukee is racist as fuck and I have a mixed friend whose own grandmother and family were racist against her and her dad because he’s black.

Just out of curiousity, does your dad have a lot of white friends?

Not really. My moms friends are basically my pops friends. Like 2 white people, the rest are black. They old ass dont have a bunch of friends like that. Also my white family all lives in Ohio. Met em, uncles are cool as fuck, white cousins SEEMED ok. But pops doesnt go back there much since uncles and his parents died. My white grandparents died when I was young. I remember them being real nice. Till this day my moms says they never treated her any different. And my hood ass black side of family excepted pops as well. Shit worked out.

ZERO! I barely even mess with them st work. When i’m on Facebook and I look at my “people you may know” friend suggestion screen when a white person shows up I delete them. To me ALL white people no matter feel like they are better than blacks. The ones who do have black friends think you should honored that they chose to be your friend. Any white person you think is your friend just have a disagreement with them and they’ll show you how they really feel

Even if true, if,you go into things with an open mind it won't shatter you. I had black friends I lost touch with and we had no beef. Shit just happened. White people can be hella clingy though.

Mid 80's to late 80's (High School Days) - A lot
Early 90's to now - None

They are still together...been over 40 years. I never even thought it was a big deal until the kids at elementary school would be all shocked that pops was white. I mean, Im a little lightskin with that curly hair bullshit, but I basically look black. And maybe I was young, but I didnt notice any funny racist shit as a kid. Maybe one time when I was at the golf course with pops, and the old cac that was playing with us said "That's your son? I see you crossed the other side of the tracks on that one". Other than that, all that Milwaukee is so racist shit is overblown. Milwaukee is racist on paper. The segregation of where people live...which has changed a lot. The only time I could feel cacs looking at us crazy was when we would go out of town. Pops loved to drive across the country on that Griswald family vacation shit. And in those little ass hick towns back in the 80's I could feel it.

@TooTrilla do you feel like you favor one side over the other

Like your associate more with your black fam
Than white?

How is it with the hoes? It’s interesting because my mixed home boys who have a white mother usually fuck with white women but my mix home boys with black mothers usually get black women

I'll be 40 on Tuesday

One of my Mum's friends married a white guy from Milwaukee. He was cool as hell with us. Showed us back in the day on how to play American Football when he was here in London.

He told us about the problems he went through especially with his family because he married a black woman. They're still married to this day.

Used to be kinda cool w/ one, but this dude always wanted to brag about his family, but didn't want to hear about any of his Black friend's families.

He always wanted to be "Top Dog" Just a super insecure obnoxious person. Stopped fuckin' w/ him about 15 years ago. One of the best decisions I've made.
