I take it you'd rather a vice president leading the effort to get the United States into a war with Saddam Hussein's Iraq with only the slightest input by the President, a war in which 5,000 US troops died and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis died and Iran gets a stronger hand in the region. no...the JOB..the Vice President's FUNCTION is to wait for the President to die. To ensure theres no power vacuum and the command structure remains intact and unbroken. Everything else is secondary to that.

This notion that Harris is the "disappearing VP" is ridiculous when NO ONE has ever relied on the VP to do much historically beyond what I just described. The only VP I'm aware of who wielded any kind of power was Dick Chaney under Bush...that motherfucker was running a shadow operation.

I think we are in a more precarious situation now than in 2020 because you can't win with her at the top of the ticket but if you take her off, you risk losing your most loyal demographic.
