The thing I love about magic is there are about 10 original tricks (give or take) and everything is just variations on those and innovation and creativity is what keep magic alive for thousands of years. Watch Penn and Teller show on magic and even as experienced and knowledgeable as they are they can still get fooled that is the beauty of magic.
If you notice what they were feeling was inside a white bag on the top. They both almost pulled it when they pulled their hand out.

I remember at an earth wind and fire concert back in the 80s, three guys with fencing helmets put Verdine, Phillip and Maurice into some type of pods and wheeled them off stage. The guys with the helmets then took their helmets off and it was Verdine, Phillip and Maurice standing there before us. That's the way they used to do concerts back in the day.
