To who? We can do trades with the Philippines now? China? Euroleague?

Its too late to say that now when he lost his big contract and the team that traded him with the other team he got traded to is gonna release him.
Nah not really...

A stipulation of the trade is that OKC pay the remaining balance of this year's contract... so the Rockets pay 1 mil and OKC pays the rest.

After this year, if he's not picked up by someone then he's on his own.

Again, I stand on what I said, he lost a big contract and also is getting released from the team as well that he got traded to. Him being on his own really isnt gonna help none when nobody would want him after they heard about him beating up his girl.

Nah, the way the contract was it was basically year to year because dude was a fuck up from Cleveland

He's only owed this year and a million for 24/25...so it's like 16 mil

After that :itsawrap:

Sound like some Ray rice stuff, nba not tolerating domestic violence. Now guns and weed is a different story, he need to see what happen to Ray Rice career.
People forget the metoo culture because people will cancel a person for domestic violence even if a chick admit that he didn't do it but it's too late because the damage was already done.

No I know it's year to year but I think you got it mixed up.

His contract isn't guaranteed, if he's not on an opening day roster he only gets 1 million and that's it. So he got paid last year, and this year he would have only gotten 1 million if the Rockets had just cut him. But they managed to trade him and even though he's getting released OKC is on the hook for the remainder of his contract, which is roughly 15mil

So the Rockets are paying 1mil and OKC pays the other 15, totaling the 16mil of his contract. After this year he's not owed anything...

Kysre Gondrezick, a former WNBA player and ex-girlfriend of former Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr., denied the allegations that Porter hit her or punched her during an argument in New York City in September, according to the New York Post's Priscilla DeGregory and Emily Crane.
Gondrezick discussed the matter in an exclusive interview with the Post just one day after Manhattan prosecutors dropped one of the charges against Porter.

"He didn't hit me. He never balled his fists up and hit me," Gondrezick said. "And he definitely didn't punch me in the face numerous times. That is a lie. I don't have any injuries to support that."

Prosecutors dropped the charge of second-degree assault Monday, citing insufficient evidence.
"What initially appeared to be a fractured vertebrae was not in fact an injury caused by the defendant," Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Mirah Curzer told Judge Jay Weiner during Porter's hearing in Manhattan Criminal Court.
Documents stated that Gondrezick's neck injury was a result of a congenital defect. Weiner ultimately agreed to drop the charge.

However, Porter is still charged with second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault. He is currently free on $75,000 bail but could face a maximum sentence of seven years in prison if convicted for strangulation.

Prosecutors have said that Porter struck Gondrezick multiple times with a closed fist before "forcefully" squeezing her neck with his hands. The criminal complaint said the choking left her with difficulty breathing, redness and bruising to her neck, and substantial pain.

And while prosecutors said that the confrontation only ended when Gondrezick fled the room and was found by hotel employees bloodied and bruised, she said that things were exaggerated and that the DA's office didn't wait to interview her or get access to her full medical records.
"It happened very fast, not to the degree of what was reported," Gondrezick said. "And it was an argument that occurred in the room for not even 10 seconds."

"We have given them numerous opportunities to come clean and to fix false information but they have yet to do so," she added later when speaking of the DA's office.
As for Porter, he was traded from the Houston Rockets to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday and is expected to be released immediately, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

I assume he paid her enough to protect him that she will never have to work again.

Not that the WNBA pays shit, but with it being a league of women talking about women empowerment, I have no idea how you walk into a locker room and look your teammates in the face knowing you protecting your abuser :dunno:

The prosecutors/DA's office went on a witch hunt based on preliminary information and appears to not want to walk it back because the process has already started regardless of evidence. If they spoke to her, I guarantee you they tried to coerce her to say things to ruin this dude regardless of what actually.

A lot of people eat off putting folk in jail and they couldn't care less about ruining this mans life.

I have gone through this, and it's very sobering to see and experience how fucked up the "justice" system is toward men in these situations. It is truly GUILTY before proven innocent and in these situations your perspective or the truth isn't taken into consideration AT ALL until trial which may be several months later. So, if you don't get bail, where do you think they'll keep you while you wait for trial? At least this dude got bail and could be with his family while this gets sorted out.

Will this cost/lose him money, yes, but in that cell, freedom is priceless.

I no longer make any assumptions on these situations. I will only believe the evidence. I almost passed out when I saw the police report of what they said happened in my situation. Lies galore. This whole believe women first narrative has to stop. Believe the fucking evidence not statements regardless of what gender is making it...

She know what's on the line and feels bad
Let's take what she just said and play devil's advocate.
Why would her own SISTER threaten him the next day? Cause she spoke to her SISTER.
Bottomline, he's a problem child who will
Need to learn Chinese at this point

Fuck em

Facts and it makes it worst that she's defending that dude who beat her ass.

Also, if china is smart they wouldn't accept him over there either if he knows chinese or not.

He'll be a regular dude who lost it all flipping burgers or just having a regular job that would pay him way less than he used to get in the NBA!

It's all his fault.

The defense said Porter didn't break a vertebrae in her neck, said they performed test and determined it was a congenital defect  :hithead: :hithead:

This woman typed 4 paragraphs saying nothing, she is claiming the Assistant DA made all this up, so she saying the DA got false medical reports, witness statements, police statements, etc..:hmm:

That heffa ain't type a fckn thing that look like some A.I., Chat GPT bullshit

He didn't beat me.... that badly.... Lmao unbelievable, protect the bag at all costs lol maybe they really do need to pay these wnba hoes more if they're this desperate.

Hope next time he breaks her fingers so I never have to waste time reading her bullshit ass statements. :colin:

Where was this statement last month when her sister threatened to murk KPJ for breaking her neck? :roflmao:
Her sister didn't realize that the phone she was typing threats on and all the luxury in their lives was brought to you by KPJ inc, she didn't know the wnba salary was just a step above Walmart managers.

Now that homegirls concussion has cleared up she's explaining to everyone how it is. Lol

While y'all bullshitting...if she's being truthful or not, this gives dude a lifeline. She's not going to cooperate with DA. I can see him signing to a team in a year from now on a very low risk team friendly contract.

Look at Miles Bridges, he's back in the league & his situation was probably worse.
