Discovered MrRobot (just started Season2) binge watching, @ 1st saying to myself that I'm not watching no sci fi robot shit on USA weekly nor any zombie/vampire/creature feature series FOH
:smh:

Homeland (into 6th season coming up I think & HillHarper's abt to join the cast as a supervisor ) is a never ending saga of Homeland Security type issues.
Same shit diff toilet, the 'Merican Gubment way, pilling up the body count one way or the other no matter which way u look @ it.....
It is what it is.
Both good shows but different if that makes any sense....

ya I've heard some good things about mr. robot...but like bborn was saying the fact that it comes on USA I expect it to be a bit watered down...I'll give it a shot tho

I've never seen Mr. Robot(USA shows are generally so so at best, IMO).Watch Homeland if you want to see white privilege in all it's glory. A bi-polar, schizophrenic white woman who continues to get jobs as the head of top government agencies.

i love mr. robot and think it is a better show than homeland. the first season of homeland is arguably comparable.

with that said i would binge homeland first. why? because it has a few seasons under its belt already and by the time you finish you can binge two complete seasons of mr. robot. when an episode of mr. robot ends sometimes i am yelling at the screen nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.... its painful to wait another week.

Mr Robot, half way through the second season and it is still great.

Homelands first season was fantastic, one of the best ever but seasons 2 through 4 were horrible. I wanted the main guy and his entire family (especially the daughter) to die and go away the entire 2nd and 3rd season. Once they are gone it amazingly got worse.

Plus, by the 3rd season, every time Claire Danes made her crazy/cry face, I wanted to punch my TV, which is 10 times per episode.

Homeland is decent but the last season was solid - best season since season 1

Homeland has a lot more to watch, Mr Robot is only 1 season deep...

Glue that & the last gif MC had in his signature to your subconscious when u think of that show as it should have been part 9f the poster/marketing campaign.
I'd still fuck off of her meds though::dunno:
Oh you WILL be surprised!
Please understand this from a person who stopped watching USA net shows since KungFuTheater & WordUpWednesdays (u'll understand after your binge).
They bleep out curses & ain't nobody worth seeing naked (other than like one chick) as they're too busy satisfying their nerds & thinkers by putting actual, real life code & hack shit on the screen for real.....

ok - have you watched Masters of Sex?

na seen something for it on the showtime app but that shit always freezes so I dumped it...was kinda upset cuz there was a decent amount of shows for me to watch too but that app is useless

You could always kick on the uToob shows eating @ the heels of $&Violence that have been trying to ga in some momentum
i.e.
MAYHEM  Some Elizabeth & surrounding cities NJ grimey, entertaining shit (comes back in Sept:angry:).....

RESPECT LIFE, some BK specifically BedSty, Brownsville, Flatbush & a lil BrightonBeach street shit.......

PROJECT HEAT, some PinkHouses shit with some decent acting & cameos by 90s hip hop kats - RayDijon of VideoMusicBox fame came through and is putting it down in the series now and G Rap's chick that screamed on & pulled Superhead's card has a major role doing her thiding.....

848, some NW Bx Edenwald to GunHillRd street shit....

&
ThePROFESSIONALfuckinglCHILLER, some funny assed Roosavelt/Hemstead LI and surrounding grimey but :roflmao2: type shit that never takes itself too serious.....

They all grow with progress and will have u :roflmao2: based on how they put it together with a touch that the majors haven't figured yet since young people are telling their story within their communities - so.we actiing troops, others off the hip and all based on their experiences and feedback they get interactively......

None are as advanced as Fam Gambino's show Blue Steel with them grown, well seasoned kats doing their thing on a bigger level......

All very entertaining and worth the effort.
Comments sections are quite telling to what the people watching worldwide feel......
You can't get this on TV yet & I do think think I eve wanna see some of them on the screen but they are all coming up out the pocket so wish the best for them......

Oh yeah NIGHTLIFE just finished for the yr which is abt some Bx & Harlem promoters throwing lounge parties and their lives.....

Peace,

ya I'm dl'ing season 1 of both series...I'll start off w/ mr. robot tho since it's shorter @ just one full season

You'll be hooked after the first ep.

The writing is wonderful. It's one of the few programs that I've seen that actually gets certain difficult-to-render concepts right: the internet, mental illness, general resentment of corporate culture, etc.

The performances are strong, particularly that of the lead. He NAILS the character in such a decisive way that it's impossible to imagine anyone else portraying Elliot.

And the scope of the cinematography is what you'd expect from a film; I've never seen anything like it on television. It's panoramic and inclusive.

That's not to say that it's without it's faults. There are several characters that are so over-the-top that they seem cartoonish. But by and large, it's a hell of an achievement.
