You're a really smart dude. We need folks shooting at petty shoplifters because...... they're stealing. And stealing is bad. And of course the sentence for stealing is death right?

And we all know untrained folks have great fucking aim.

Good thinking man!

But in Oregon they had MULTIPLE people there on campus that were licensed to carry firearms. They interviewed one in msnbc and he said that he was away from the danger and saw no need to place himself or those around him in MORE danger. he said if the gunman had come to where he was he'd have bust then but he said he wasn't about to go run TOWARDS the shooter while the cops are doing the same.

How can they tell who's the bad guy, he thought...

I know. I completely agree with that guy. The argument has been made before. If you have one or multiple "good guys with guns" in an active shooter situation, even more lives are in danger. Unless they've been trained to act in such a situation, they're going to be firing and missing, then might get themselves killed by the gunman anyway or they might find themselves firing at another "good guy" or the cops will murk them, just to be certain. The logic of good guys with guns in any place but your home, car, or your business is foolish.

That case seems very very strange. How they get away with a flat tire. I would be surprised if they got away with no flat tire. Was this some kind of a test. Total change of how things are looked at. And what the fuck was stolen?

Any updates

Expert: Woman shouldn't have fired gun at shoplifter

http://www.freep.com/story/news/loc...er-opens-fire-shoplifter-home-depot/73468588/

But still nothing about her being charged. Just under investigation. In the article, they even said not even a cop is justified in shooting after a shoplifter. But they may argue that she was acting as a good samaritan? Who knows.

Telling you, really think they gonna throw a probation and refresher course at her. We will see...

If the shoplifter was Black, then she won't be charged even though she should regardless because anybody (including children) could have caught those strays.

She committed a crime herself. The law is very clear when a concealed weapons holder can fire their firearm. She can protect herself or protect others that cannot protect themselves - she can't use or threaten to use deadly force to detain, intimidate or prevent escape. Private citizens do not have the benefit of warning shots or suppressing fire... especially in city limits. LoL.

She's looking at attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon (intent to harm). Discharging a weapon within city limits may be tricky because that Home Depot is right on the border in an area that seems to be zoned for big box retail and strip malls - no schools, medical, secular or residential for a few dozen blocks.

I don't see what the investigation is about. This shit is about as cut and dry as it gets.

She should be charged

her name ain't released so... and they didn't state a "black" male as the shoplifter, just a male shoplifter, so you know both are white.

No decision on customer who shot at Home Depot suspects

Not releasing the race of a suspect is common. I always see cacs complaining about it at the news sites before they throw in their racist ass comments about the situation.

they have to charge her...shit sets a bad precedent...if I'm running back to my car because I forgot my $$$ or some shit all a cac gotta say is I thought he was running from security to justify shooting me :smh:

Who this bitch think she is?... it's not even her shit!

CPL holder charged after shots fired at Auburn Hills Home Depot shoplifters
Police say Clarkston woman fired shots at suspected shoplifters' vehicle in parking lot

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -

A concealed pistol license holder who, police said, fired her gun at suspected shoplifters Oct. 6 in a Home Depot parking lot is charged with one count of reckless use, handling or discharge of a firearm.

The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office said 46-year-old Tatiana Duva-Rodriguez, of Clarkston, is accused of shooting at the tires of a passing truck in the "misguided attempt to disable the vehicle to stop two reported shoplifters."

"If this is proven, I find it very disturbing that someone would take out their gun in a busy parking lot and shoot at the tires of a passing car," said Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper, in a news release. "Once fired, the bullet could have easily ricocheted or fragmented and injured or killed someone else. It would have been much more helpful for her to take out her cellphone and shoot pictures of the shoplifter’s license plate."

Police said her shots hit the vehicle, flattening one of the tires. She has been cooperating with police.

"We are grateful that nothing more serious happened as a result of the decision to fire a weapon in a busy parking lot," said Auburn Hills Police Chief Doreen Olko. "We do not encourage bystanders to insert themselves into incidents because of the potential for deadly consequences."

Anthony Harris, 46, of Flint, is accused of being one of the two shoplifters. He is charged with retail fraud (first degree). He was arraigned Saturday at the 6th Circuit Court before Magistrate Andra V. Richardson. A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf and bond was set at $25,000 cash.

A probable cause conference is set for Oct. 19 at the 52-3rd District Court before Judge Nancy Tolwin Carniak. Meanwhile, Harris is being held at the Oakland County Jail.

The second suspect, a 52-year-old Flint-area man, remains in custody on outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions pending a line-up.

Police say the duo stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Home Depot.

I'm unfamiliar with the charges brought on this woman.

What are the consequences if found guilty? Without knowing too much about them they seem like weak charges....

To me it sounds like she is about to get off real lite.

The shoplifter is likely get a harsher punishment.

So when the cops rolled up, did they shoot at her in the same 2 seconds they gave that kid Tamira Rice? The guy in Wal-Mart with a toy gun?!?

I mean she had a real gun and was actually shooting!! So why didn't they bust on her? Because she wasn't a black kid?! Unarmed?! or simply she wasn't black!?!!
DeWhight is a sick bastard!!!

:angry::angry::angry:

So they only posted a mug of the black driver and not the white thief??
You know, i kinda peeped that too....

Boy these devils is something else :smh:

I'm shocked they didn't say he was stealing the tools to build a device of mass destruction for the #blacklivesmatter crusade against the police :hmm:

Know something else you gotta observe? They didn't release his name. Says it's pending a line-up and positive ID.

So....
That's gotta be the one running out, cause he was kind of the only one really seen running out the store.

The black guy had to be the owner/driver of the car.

What if someone wulda busted at her thinkin she was the aggresor!!

Culd they be charged??
