I know that the popular vote is not the way the president is "elected" but rather the electoral college "selects" the president, but rarely has a candidate won the popular vote but not the electoral vote for the presidency. Which leads me back to how now voting at all helps.

OK, this is my question...If I am a voter that doesnt like either candidate for whatever reason that I have, its evident to me that one of the two is going to win the presidency. So, I decide that I'm gonna be super smart and not vote for either candidate (Boy, I'll show them) How does that change the shape of the election? One of the two are gonna win regardless. Doesnt matter if you are one that believes that the "Selection" has been made already or not...its still gonna be one of the two evils. Me not voting for Hillary is essentially me voting for Trump and vice versa, right? Wouldnt it be wiser for me to throw in my vote for support of the lesser evil? But if I just cant decide which one that is, again HOW DOES NOT VOTING AT ALL HELP ANY?
