He's BACK.....Brett Favre IS BACK..........

...and this time it's for real. He convinced a few that his announced 'retirement' was legit, but many remained skeptical. Now we know that Pro-football's top 'mercenary' is ready to perform. Sources, no less than, ESPN, FoxSports (Jay Glazier), radio sports-jock, Colin Cowherd, and ProFootball Blog have 'staunchly' confirmed that Brett will sign a 2-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings. He'll report anytime between now and next Tuesday. Oh, Minnesota Viking head coach Brad Childress confirmed, as well. His 'confirmation' announcement takes on special importance, because it was he who stated---CONVINCINGLY---that there would be "no future negotiations with Favre once training camp begins". But he was immediately 'reminded' that his job was on-line, sans Super Bowl or----at least----the NFL-North championship. Suddenly, negotiations---which never really ceased--- became TOP secret.(Brett was their man, all along.......and ensures them of the NFL-North championship). The Super Bowl? I'm not ready to 'jump' onto that limb!

Expect to hear pronouncements professing 'joy' and 'elation' coming from the mouths of current roster QB's, T-Jack, Sage Rosenfels, Gus Frerotte, John David Booty. Two, maybe three, will be gone by the time the final roster is put together. Who is anybody's guess.

One thing we know for certain: Favre and running back, Adrian Peterson will complement each other in a very big way. In fact, I've penciled in AP as the top NFL rusher (2000+?). When Peterson heard the Favre news, his grin widened beyond the usual ear-to-ear. Some guys get all the breaks. Deservedly so!

Just when Sage thought that the job was going to be his he's awakened from his dream. T-Jack shared parts of that dream. But he had ample opportunity to be the man. Maybe he'll get another opportunity elsewhere. Some guys just don't get any breaks. Gus might return to the 49'ers, backing-up Smith.

While Minnesota does need to shore up it's QB position, Farve ain't gonna do anything but muddle shit up even further. Just like he did in NY.

PS: only reason for the "retirements" and delays in signing a contract is so he doesn't have to participate in the off season drills and preseason workouts

The Vikings have an easier schedule, an in-door stadium, good D-line, good receivers, a helluva RB, and a good blocking O-line for runs. Hard to 'muck' that up. Plus, the Vikes are a much better team than the 2008 Jets. His no-show at pre-season camps bodes well for Farve's longevity, puting less strain on his throwing arm.

I heard this evening that the Vikes are going to trade T-Jack.

How can Brett F get 12million and Mike Vick 1.x Million NFL sucks!

Actually its 2-yr./$25M. The man has an excellent 'track record', and is destine for the HOF. He has set many football-related records, including having thrown for more yards and TD passes than anyone else.

don't get me wrong he is/no i mean he was one of the all time greats to suit it up but this shit right here is two timing at it's best

Cosign, but I gotta throw in a few things.

1. Vikes should have ZERO excuses if they don't at least go deep into the playoffs.

2. What does it really say about the QB's you already have, if you WILLINGLY sign Favre and START him immediately, after all this shit?

If I were T. Jackson, I'd be looking for a trade pronto. Rosenfels is a career backup, so this is nothing new to the guy. Sucks for him though, he thought he was finally gonna get his shot.

Vikes plan on trading T-Jack, and Rosenfels is probably next in line but not until after the season. They are pretty 'high' on John David Booty for the future....post Favre.

Only reason he came back was that Vick was getting all the hype with coming back and he can't stand to see the NFL talk about someone else but him and that on and off shit he keeps doing.:smh::smh:

Are you serious?

Mike Vick is a liability at this point. And I wish him the best.

Brett Favre is going to be a cash cow for the Minnesota Vikings.

Step outside of the emotional realm for a minute and realize, at the end of the day, it's about market value.
